Kraftwerk's Expo 2000 is a commentary on humanity's relationship with technology in the 21st century. The chorus "EXPO two-thousand, the twenty-first century" highlights the technological advancements that will come to define life in the new millennium. The second line "Das einundzwanstigste Jahrhundert" is a German translation of "the twenty-first century", emphasizing Kraftwerk's roots.
The following line "Man Nature Technology" is a nod to the advancements of the industrial revolution and how human technology is affecting the natural world. The last line, "Planet of visions, Planet der visionen", is a reflection of human aspirations and dreams for the future of technology.
In the context of the song, the Expo refers to the World Expo, a global event that gathers people from all over the world to showcase technological advances. It's an optimistic view of how technology will change the world, but also contains a subtle warning to humanity to continue being mindful of the natural world around us.

The marriage didn't last - but it was a fun party.
