Overall Meaning

The song "Computer World" by Kraftwerk describes the impact of computers on the world, specifically highlighting the intersection between technology, business and law enforcement. The lyrics mention Interpol, Deutsche Bank, FBI and Scotland Yard, representing the global reach of computers and their ability to connect people and organizations across borders. These institutions embody the economic, legal and security aspects of modern society, all of which have been transformed by computers.

The repetition of the refrain "Business, Numbers, Money, People" emphasizes the centrality of computers to all aspects of modern life, including commerce and finance. The second verse adds "Crime, Travel, Communication, Entertainment" to this list, highlighting the diverse ways in which computers have reshaped society. The idea of the "Computer World" refers both to the digital realm of connected devices and networks, but also to the larger socio-economic system that has arisen around them.

The song's precise, minimalist style reflects the themes of technological efficiency and uniformity. Kraftwerk were pioneers of electronic music, and "Computer World" is a prime example of their use of synthesizers and other electronic instruments to create a futuristic, robotic sound. The use of vocals that are both robotic and human echoes the idea of technology as an extension of humanity, while also suggesting a potential loss of individuality and humanity in the face of machines. Overall, "Computer World" is a meditation on the transformative power of technology in the modern era.

R.I.P. Florian Schneider-Esleben. 73 years. I remember 1981 than I was listing to this on tape. Wow, sitting on my commodore 4032 and listing to Kraftwerk. Wow. As time goes by.

An entire ALBUM.

@twatmang1

I bought this LP on vinyl in 1982 in Munster, Germany, it tripped me out everytime Ilistened to it. I still had it until about 2000. It was a heavy piece of vinyl, heavier than the normal LP. Solid, German build.

Where would we be without Kraftwerk? This is probably my favorite track of them. People can listen to my 3 tracks and it's ofcourse not this essential quality, but i'll take my responsibility if it will dissapoint you. Type Musixpression and you see the titles 1: Welcome 2: Analyse 3: Unfinished track.The reactions are not switched on yet, soΒ you can place your reaction here if you want. Meanwhile thans for reading.Β

@musixpression

musixpressionΒ People can listen now to my tracks 1 till 15. Type musixpression 1, musixpression 2, and all the rest. Reactions are still not switched on but maybe i set it free. I'll take my responsibility if i say: Don't waste your time any longer. Thanks for reading, good luck.

@TitanFind

musixpression No Kraftwerk, no techno. To be honest, no Kraftwerk, no hip-hop.

@musixpression

TitanFind Don't worry too much about that fact. Hip hop was in the 80's combined with synth-breakdance. 80's music was inspired by diffrerent styles likeΒ symphonic rock, jazz, electro pop etc.Β  Lot's of other stylesΒ like styles ofΒ the last 20 years could be made much better. And lot's of different styles like hip hop, dubstep, house, drum'n'bass, essential synthpop, classic music etc. can be parallel related to combine it for new revolutionairy styles with a same kind of new flow feeling like we did in the 80'sΒ Β It's no matter wich style we make it, but how we make it, so it wasΒ the guilt of the musicbizz, not the artists, so they must have somehow learned from their mistakes. The only excuse that they had to f the pleasant side of music was that rappers had already in the beginning of the 90's a better drive in their lyricses to knock us down, for example Mc Hammer. Kraftwerk has no bad meaningsΒ with their music and inspiring other musicians. TherΓ©'s indeed nothing wrong with being honest, because making yourself nutral to people and doing what your heart sayingΒ by combining it with being fair with the truth is the best way to devellop ourselves in spite of that you can't say everything ofcourse. So i say again you can listen to my electro tracks musixpression 1 till musixpression 15. I tried to make it as good as possible, and i'm working to get a stadia where i can devellop myself inspired sane enough for my ideas what i want to do with revolutionairy influences in music. Good luck
