Kraftwerk's song "Home Computer" is a celebration of the possibilities of technology and computing in the music industry. The opening lines "It's more fun to compute" are a nod to the increasing trend that computing at home is becoming an enjoyable pastime. The repetition of this line throughout the song emphasizes the idea that computing is the new frontier of leisure for many people at the time.
The lyrics continue to explore the idea of technology taking over and advancing our future. The idea of "programming my home computer" suggests that technology is becoming a necessity for everyday life. By "beaming myself into the future", we are transported into a world where computing is the main source of communication and entertainment.
Kraftwerk's use of repetition and industrial-style electronic music is a statement against traditional music structures, which relied on instruments with organic sounds. Instead, they embraced the new wave of electronic music to create a unique soundscape that reflected their view of society's increasing technological dependence.
Overall, "Home Computer" is a celebration of technology and its potential to bring people together and drive us forward into the future.

I received this album, "Computer World", as a birthday gift in 82. The card read - you have to like this! As a guitarist I was initially put off, but the songs and melodies are wonderful and has expanded my musical tastes. It is still one of my favorites after 30 years +.
