Tender Trap
Kraków Loves Adana Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

In the winter you′ve been born
In the winter now you're thrown
With nothing left to warm
Now you′re waiting for a face
Or a paper with a name
I know you're not like them
Oh see where it got you, where
But it's a tender trap
It′s a tender trap
When I dive into the past
I remember it was dark
Some memories and thoughts may fade
But some will always last
You said
"We can′t start again"
I said
"We could end again"
You said
"Touch me and you'll burn, touch me and you′ll burn."
But it's a tender trap
It′s a tender trap

I've seen you faltering
One too many times
Most ordinary things
Get stuck inside your mind
But this is not the end

No farewell my friend
It′s in your being
It's in your hands
I've seen you faltering
One too many times
Almost ordinary things
Got stuck inside your mind
But this is not the end
No farewell my friend
It′s in your being
I thought you already lost it

Oh thought you already lost it

But it′s a tender trap
You got yourself in

With no room to act

Oh it's so unforgivable
So unforgivable

The way you′ve been living
In this tender trap

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Kraków Loves Adana's Tender Trap seem to be about a person who was born in winter and is now seemingly lost and alone. The person is waiting for someone or something to save them from their current situation, but it seems that they are stuck in a trap, unable to escape. They are haunted by memories of the past and some things seem to be stuck in their mind. The trap is described as a tender trap, suggesting that it is something that they may have willingly fallen into or something that was initially comforting but has now turned sour.

The singer of the song is seemingly struggling with the idea of starting something over or ending it for good. They are hesitant and afraid of the consequences of their actions. The line "Touch me and you'll burn, touch me and you’ll burn" reinforces the idea that they are wary of any potential dangers or risks that come with change. However, despite being stuck in this trap and faltering many times, there is hope that this isn't the end for them. The closing lines "I thought you already lost it, but it's a tender trap you got yourself in, with no room to act, oh it's so unforgivable, so unforgivable, the way you’ve been living in this tender trap" suggests that the singer is still capable of making a change, but they need to take responsibility and take action.

Was there from 84 to 87 in the military. It is an amazing place. Because of my job, I saw places most would never see. A lot of them far from American bases but I was treated with much respect. I love the people. They are so friendly.
