Al año siguiente el señor Jaime Tobón se retira para iniciar sus estudios universitarios fuera de la ciudad de Medellín y es reemplazado por Ricardo Posada invitado por Elkin Ramírez.
En el segundo semestre de 1986 dan a conocer sus dos primeras composiciones contenidas en un sencillo de 45 (RPM): “Todo hombre es una Historia” y “Muere Libre”. Las ventas superaron las 10.000 copias.
En el primer semestre de 1987 comercializan un segundo sencillo: “Escudo y Espada” y “Soy Real” y a finales de ese mismo año logran lanzar su primer LP el cual lleva su nombre.
Su primera gira nacional se lleva a cabo en el año 1988 con gran acogida y aceptación. En enero del siguiente año se retira el guitarrista Ricardo Posada para iniciar sus estudios universitarios.
A finales de 1989 editan su segundo LP titulado “Kraken II” incluyendo teclados; la canción “Vestido de Cristal” se convirtió en su primer número uno en Colombia, logrando traspasar fronteras llegando a los primeros lugares en emisoras de la península Ibérica y en estaciones que programaban música latina en ciudades de Estados Unidos, Holanda, Alemania, Italia y Japón.
