The daughter of Elka Zolot, former member of the San Francisco garage-punk band The Trashwomen, Kreayshawn grew up in East Oakland. She attended many high schools but never graduated. She also attended Berkeley Digital Film Institute on scholarship, but never finished the program.
She has directed videos for rapper Lil B.

In “Bumpin Bumpin,’ Kreayshawn talks about her experiences and adventures in the club with her friends. The song has a repetitive and catchy beat which gives the impression that everything is on fire on the dancefloor as the lyrics suggest “Bumpin' bumpin'/ Dancefloor is bumpin'.” The song starts with a bridge where Kreayshawn mentions her love for elephants instead of the usual luxurious cars and bikes associated with famous people in the club. “Rockin' in the club, catch me on an elephant/Young Kreayshawn grimey, but I feel so elegant” shows Kreayshawn's uniqueness and that she is comfortable in her skin.
In the first verse, she invites her friends to join her in the VIP section of the club. She brags about how the clubs she goes to fulfill her wishes and that the door is always open to her. She also talks about how she carries a weapon because she is not afraid to play with the boys. In the end, she remembers all the girls that used to mock and ignore her when she was not famous.
