Kris debuted his first full-length CD, "Brand New Shoes", in September 2007. The album spotlights his musical capabilities in songwriting, guitar, piano and vocals. Kris is known for his laid-back and unassuming personality, yet his music is full of depth, energy and soul.
Some of his influences include Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Matchbox 20, and John Legend.
On 20 May 2009, Kris Allen was crowned the champion of American Idol 2009. After American Idol he released his major-label eponymous album debut. Since then he has released three studio albums "Thank You Camellia" in 2012, "Horizons" in 2014, "Letting You In" in 2016 and one Christmas album titled "Somethin' About Christmas" also in 2016. In 2019 he released a compilation album titled "10" in ten year anniversary since album "Kris Allen" came out in 2009. His latest releases are four new singles in 2021.

WOW!!! Such talent!!! I love the music -- instruments used and the way they were played. Really, really important to how the entire song sounds. He totally deserved to win, as I think anyone could say from listening to this...but some just don't get it, I know. The lady did sound very good with him...but I'm pretty sure I heard Katy (his wife) say she doesn't sing.

Thanks Calarkie. Good news: my niece heard him singing in the Lerner of New York store. She asked me did he sing the song about another mountain and I said "Yes," and she said the clerk commented "That's Kris." And my niece said it had to be Kris because he sonded smooth. Well, we know Kris sings the smoother version of "No Boundaries" so I agreed it had to be him. I am so glad someone is playing his version! BTW, this is my niece who picked Kris from the song, "Man in the Mirrlor."

Haha that made me laugh, "OKAD" :) I guess I have that too since I find myself constantly defending him too. I don't mind Adam that much, but I just hate when people say that Kris didn't deserve to win and that Adam was robbed. They're both so different to be compared, they've even said that themselves. People just liked Kris more, it's as simple as that.
