Why Me
Kris Kristofferson Lyrics

Why me Lord, what have I ever done
To deserve even one
Of the pleasures I've known
Tell me Lord, what did I ever do
That was worth loving you
Or the kindness you've shown.

Lord help me Jesus, I've wasted it so
Help me Jesus I know what I am
Now that I know that I've need you so
Help me Jesus, my soul's in your hand.

Tell me Lord, if you think there's a way
I can try to repay
All I've taken from you
Maybe Lord, I can show someone else
What I've been through myself
On my way back to you.

Lord help me Jesus, I've wasted it so
Help me Jesus I know what I am
Now that I know that I've need you so
Help me Jesus, my soul's in your hand.

(Verse 1)
Why me, Lord?
What have I ever done
To deserve even one
Of the pleasures I've known
Tell me, Lord
What did I ever do
That was worth lovin' you
Or the kindness you've shown?

(Chorus)
Lord, help me, Jesus
I've wasted it so help me, Jesus
I know what I am
But now that I know
That I've needed you, so help me, Jesus
My soul's in your hand

(Verse 2)
Try me, Lord
If you think there's a way
I can try to repay
All I've taken from you
Maybe, Lord
I can show someone else
What I've been through myself
On my way back to you

(Chorus: Repeat)

~GOD CAN USE YOU~
The next time you think God can't use you, just remember
Noah was a drunk
Abraham was too old
Isaac was a daydreamer
Jacob was a liar
Leah was ugly
Joseph was abused
Moses had a stuttering problem
Gideon was afraid
Samson had long hair and was a womanizer
Rahad was a prostitute
Jeremiah and Timothy were too young
David had an affair and was a murderer
Elijah preached naked
Jonah ran from God
Naomi was a widow
Job went bankrupt
John the Baptist ate bugs
Peter denied Christ
The Disciples fell asleep while praying
Martha worried about everything
The Samaritan woman was divorced, more than once
Zaccheus was too small
Paul was too religious
Timothy had an ulcer....AND
Lazarus was dead!

No more excuses now.
God can use you to your full potential.
Besides you aren't the message, you are just the messenger.
In the Circle of God's love, God's waiting to use your full potential.

“Sometimes…
Sometimes doubt is the opposite of faith,
but sometimes doubt can be a pathway to faith.
Sometimes weakness is the opposite of strength,
but sometimes weakness can be the pathway to strength.
Sometimes addiction is the opposite of sobriety,
but sometimes addiction can be the pathway to sobriety.
Sometimes infidelity is the opposite of fidelity,
but sometimes infidelity can be a pathway to fidelity.
Sometimes failure is the opposite of success,
but sometimes failure can be the pathway to success.”

David W. Jones, Enough: And Other Magic Words to Transform Your Life

Denial is the prison we lock ourselves into. It can become a life sentence with no hope for parole. Only we hold our own key, and only by owning our own truth can we set ourselves free.

I have made a career of trying to keep fish from drowning.

Among the most heart rendering lessons I still must learn in this life is; No amount of our love can save anyone from themselves, they have to wake up from the spell which enslaves and dooms them. We can't want their happiness more than they do.

Danny, Psalm 91 is such a comfort because it tells us specifically that no matter where we are, where we're running to or the path back to Him, that He is there in each place long before we get there. Welcome back son.  I will keep you and your wife in prayer.  "I know what I have committed unto Him and that He is able to keep that which I have given Him against the evil day". I ran, I struggled, I lost it all and He found me and restored me.  God bless you too.
