In June 2015, Kris Kross Amsterdam signed a deal with dance record label Spinnin’ Records and released their debut single "Until the Morning" with MC CHOCO.
In March 2016, Kris Kross Amsterdam released “Sex” with American electronic music trio Cheat Codes, which samples the chorus from "Let's Talk About Sex". The single became a worldwide hit, reaching the Top 40 on more than twenty national charts. It peaked at #9 on the UK Official Singles Chart and is currently certified platinum.
Success continued with “Are You Sure?” featuring Conor Maynard and Ty Dolla $ign. In 2018, they released “Whenever” with The Boy Next Door and Conor Maynard, which samples the chorus from Shakira’s “Whenever, Wherever”. It reached more than fifteen national charts, including Number 1 in Poland.
Kris Kross Amsterdam then started releasing Dutch songs that prominently sample international hits. In 2019, they scored their first official Number 1-hit on the Dutch official Top 40 with “Hij Is Van Mij” alongside Maan, Tabitha and Bizzey. The song is a Dutch reworking of Brandy and Monica’s classic “The Boy Is Mine”. It has received over 100 million streams and ranks as one of the highest-selling Dutch songs of all time. They repeated the formula with “Moment” featuring Kraantje Pappie and Tabitha, which reworks Nasty’s 1996 classic “Een Moment Zonder Jou”. It became another big hit, peaking at #3 on the Dutch official Top 40.
Multiple Dutch hits with popular singers followed. In 2021, they returned to English with “Early In The Morning” featuring Shaggy and Conor Maynard, which impacted the Dutch and Belgian charts. They then collaborated with Antoon and Sigourney K. on “Vluchtstrook”. The song samples Olivia Newton-John’s classic “Have You Ever Been Mellow”, which was popularized by the Party Animals in the Netherlands in 1996. It became an immediate streaming success and peaked at #2 on the Dutch official Top 40. It is currently certified triple-platinum.
In 2023, the trio again worked with international artists on “How You Samba”, which samples Bellini’s “Samba de Janeiro” and features Tinie Tempah and Sofía Reyes. The song became the trio’s second Number 1-hit on the Dutch official Top 40, but failed to impact the international charts.

Viven en el siglo de la hombría
Que te arreglas solo para ellos
Y que pa' tu hombre te maquillas
No es solo pa' él
Que soy sexy al bailar
No es solo para él
Y él me dice
Vámonos, vámonos, vámonos
Pero a la cama, a la cama, a la cama no
Vámonos, vámonos, vámonos
Pero a la cama, a la cama, a la cama no
Vámonos, vámonos, vámonos
Pero a la cama, a la cama, a la cama no
Vámonos, vámonos, vámonos
Pero a la cama
Pero a la cama no
Pero a la cama no
Ellos se confunden porque puedo
Puedo ser mujer y no tengo miedo
Aunque dejo claro que no quiero
Creen que lo mío es coqueteo
No es solo pa' él
Que soy sexy al bailar
No es solo para él
Que me gusta gozar
Y él me dice
Vámonos, vámonos, vámonos
Pero a la cama, a la cama, a la cama no
Vámonos, vámonos, vámonos
Pero a la cama, a la cama, a la cama no
Vámonos, vámonos, vámonos
Pero a la cama, a la cama, a la cama no
Vámonos, vámonos, vámonos
Pero a la cama
Pero a la cama no
Pero a la cama no
(Messiah!)
Ella no anda buscando mala fama
Nadie la puede llevar a la cama
Quieren que la traten como una dama
Quiere gozar, ella no anda buscando drama
Le dije: Vámonos, vámonos, vámonos
Y ella: La cama, la cama, la cama no
Quiero que esta noche te vayas conmigo
Pero a la cama, a la cama, a la cama no
No es solo pa' él
Que soy sexy al bailar
No es solo para él
Que me gusta gozar
Y él me dice
Vámonos, vámonos, vámonos
Pero a la cama, a la cama, a la cama no
Vámonos, vámonos, vámonos
Pero a la cama
Pero a la cama no
Pero a la cama no
Oh, no, no
The song "Vámonos" by Kris Kross Amsterdam Ally Brooke and Messiah touches on societal gender expectations. The lyrics speak of how some people still live in the era where masculinity is expected, where women dress up just for men, and apply makeup solely for their male partners. The singer, however, makes it clear that she is not doing any of these things for her partner alone. She is sexy when she dances, and she enjoys having fun, regardless of what anyone else thinks. Her partner then urges her to leave with him, but she doesn't want to go to bed, indicating that she is more interested in having fun than engaging in physical activities.
The song also speaks of a woman who is not looking for trouble or attracting negative attention, but still wants to be treated with respect. She wants to have fun and is not interested in drama or being taken advantage of. Despite this, people assume that she is flirting and looking for more, when all she wants is to have fun while respecting her boundaries.
Overall, the song promotes a message of individuality and empowerment, urging people to be themselves, enjoy their lives, and not let societal expectations dictate their actions.
