I always have mad respect for parents of victims of horrendous crimes who fight to change laws to prevent future victims and prevent pain to other families.
It's not easy to do. I imagine I would have a difficult time simply getting out of bed each day.. I would have a difficult time breathing.. I would have a difficult time just existing.. I don't know how people find this strength to do the things they do but I certainly think they are wonderful people and appreciate their amazing ability to be selfless even in their time of heartbreak and serious grieving.

Latvia is small with few crimes, so they're okay. I live in Russia with pretty much the same judicial system. The thing about Russian prison is that even 1-2-5 year sentence for a minor crime can be a death penalty for a person. There are tuberculosis, HIV and other serious ilnesses reigning in our prisons and in most prisons inmates are given no medicines.

The dude recieved 7 years probably because it was his first crime and maybe he proved affect somehow.
My relative was murdered and the murderer recieved 14 years because it was his second crime (first was forgery or something similar).
If someone murders me on purpose they will recieve like a 15 year sentence because I am classified as a vulnerable person. Honestly I do not care because once I am dead nothing will bring me back.

I stayed in Brentford for work years ago and walked in and out of work every day while I was there. I walk everywhere but walking along the canal gave me the creeps even in broad daylight. I walked the long way to avoid it. Never walk by a canal and no headphones while you are walking. Don't endanger yourself by going somewhere secluded. Stay situationally aware. RIP Alice.

it's so sad and scary to watch her final walk, she wasn't aware of what horror lurked, he was so disgusting. What an awful way to go, he really weighed her down and spent time doing it which is even more awful, sorry for your loss

This is the best crime channel I've yet to come across in the last few years. I've literally binge-watched 10 of your crime documentaries. You've created concise and respectfully told stories that simply unveil facts and allow the viewer to sit with the images and CCTV footage, unlike many western channels that constantly interrupt with their commentary. I think what impresses me so much about these series is how much work and effort law enforcement does in these investigations. This is painstaking work! And hundreds of people behind the scenes really bust their ass to piece together the impossible. It’s so impressive. Just so unfortunate it is even necessary. This poor child.

This would never have happened, if he had been given a full jail term for killing his FIRST victim...these do gooders that believe in rehabilitation of murders are just as guilty as the murderer. May this beautiful, sweet innocent child be blessed in heaven.

Poor girl, I really hate security cameras every where but for things like this I love them. What twisted world, we give up so much to feel safe and we are still not safe.
I'm really starting to wonder where these kinds of People come from.. how do you live day by day wanting to take a life a child's life that has done nothing to you?? He only got sentenced 7 years for murdering his wife!! 🤯 and then the UK allowed a murderer to enter so that he was able to do it here..it’s unbelievable. My heart goes out to all of his victims.
