Krizz Kaliko began his musical career in the late 1990s when he began working with a local producer by the name of IcyRoc Kraven. Another local rapper by the name of Tech N9ne was also collaborating with IcyRoc at the time, which led to the two rappers meeting. Tech N9ne was currently working on a song titled "Who You Came To See" and Krizz made a comment that the song could have a better hook. Tech offered up the opportunity to prove his case, and Tech was blown away when Kaliko proved just that. Tech would bring Kaliko into his "inner circle" which would eventually result in Kaliko signing to the label co-owned by his new found friend.
Since then, Kaliko has often contributed to albums put out by Tech N9ne, be it being featured as a rapper or simply providing background vocals for the tracks on the album. Although the largest portion of his work is that of his collaborations with Tech, he has also performed similar tasks for fellow labelmates Kutt Calhoun, Skatterman & Snug Brim, and Prozak. Other collaborations include tracks with the Kottonmouth Kings, Potluck, E-40, and Twiztid.
His debut album, Vitiligo released in May 6, 2008, charted on several Billboard charts including peaking at number 19 on the Top Independent Albums in the week of May 28, 2008. In the same week, he peaked at number 167 on the Billboard 200.
His second studio album, Genius, was released on July 14, 2009.
Krizz has chosen the title Shock Treatment for his third studio album. Other titles he considered were "Son of Sam" and "Walk on Water."
Krizz Kaliko is married and has a son, both are mentioned in his music.
He also suffers from the disease, Vitiligo, a skin disorder characterized by smooth, white patches on various parts of the body caused by the loss of natural pigment. Several of these patches are clearly visible on his face. He would later use the name of the disease he suffers from as the title for his debut album. Krizz has also been diagnosed with Bipolar disorder. On his second album, he titled one of the tracks after the disorder.

After the party it's the after party
and after that it's the hotel lobby
and after that it's probably Krizz
it's probably Krizz (Kali!)
Hee-haw ack-a-donkey (x3)
Hee-haw kick it like a donkey!
I'm off the crown
Feet off the ground
Get off the clear
Get on the brown
So intoxicated!
So belligerent, ignorant
Security hate it!
But they just gotta live with it
Cause we suited up, boot it up
Chew it up, iced out
Trying to find this is right now
we turn the lights out
Fights outside
in the inside we fixin' it
Any problem you got KCT is your defensin' it.
Oh yea, Bout to ack-a-donkey
We ain't letting those girls go past!
And if we off the Caribou Lou
We ack a donkey
that means we act a fool with it
who wit it?
Hee-haw ack-a-donkey (x3)
Hee-haw kick it like a donkey!
Hee-haw ack-a-donkey (x3)
Hee-haw kick it like a donkey!
(Kutt Calhoun)
Who's up?
To the club
Too bad
In the black and red Chevy on slap
Cops trippin with me saying i be breaking the penal code
Booties all around me so my brain switch to hyena mode
Red turf stomp - the opposite of a L7.
Jolly Green giant - my pockets look like a head of lettuce.
Two litres of hennesy and patron
White folks (look up) looks like a communion is being hown
Everybody off in the parking lot getting F'ed up
All you see is niggas and women liftin' their dress up
Kickin' it like a donkey some is trying to impress us
But we don't pay the cross no attention, you silly heifas!
Hee-haw ack-a-donkey (x3)
Hee-haw kick it like a donkey!
(Krizz Kaliko)
I ack a donkey (donkey)
The women kinda want me
They know who I is so the punks want to jump me
I pay them no never mind
They girlies fine
(biggy tribute)
and as soon buy that wine I just creep up from behind
and ask them what they interest are
and who they be with
who they came with
i know who they leave with
I'm sorta local star so they conceded
People just know who I are, can you believe it?
Kick it like a donkey donkey
Swing it like a monkey monkey
When I'm gettin' drunk I feel like everyone want me.
Shorty you go like this it's your birthday
I'm trying to get to know you and you know in the worst way!
And ack-a-donkey!
Hee-haw ack-a-donkey (x3)
Hee-haw kick it like a donkey!
When we
Hee-haw ack-a-dobvey (x3)
Hee-haw kick it like a donkey!
Like a donkey! Hee-haw!
The lyrics to Krizz Kaliko's "Ack-A-Donkey" describe a wild and raucous party scene, where the artists are drinking heavily and behaving recklessly. The chorus, "Hee-haw ack-a-donkey, kick it like a donkey," reflects the partygoers' animalistic behavior and lack of inhibitions. The verses describe the various stages of the party, from the club to the hotel lobby to the hotel room, where Krizz Kaliko claims he is "probably" located. The lyrics also reference the song "Caribou Lou," a signature drink of Krizz Kaliko's mentor, Tech N9ne.
The verses also touch on themes of excess, social status, and sexual conquest. The artists are shown "suited up" and "iced out," displaying their wealth and status, but also engaging in reckless behavior. Krizz Kaliko boasts about being a "local star," implying that he is well-known and desired by women, and he references the "biggy tribute," a nod to the late rapper Notorious B.I.G. These references highlight the hedonistic and materialistic aspects of the party scene, while the chorus underscores the animalistic and primal nature of the behavior.
Overall, "Ack-A-Donkey" portrays a scene of wild abandon and debauchery, where social norms and inhibitions are cast aside in favor of indulgence and excess.
