Somebody Save Me
Krypteria Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Yearning for someone, someone to end this misery but will that someone, anyone, ever come and rescue me ?
Somebody save me I'm close to the edge - someone to fill me with life give me dreams I never had
Somebody save me and answer my pleas - someone to lift me back up and to put my heart at ease
Somebody help me please
Outcast, alone, searching but never finding - I'd give my all for a trace of silver lining
Yearning for someone, someone to end this misery but will that someone, anyone, ever come and rescue me ?
Somebody save me I'm close to the edge - someone to fill me with life give me dreams I never had
Somebody help me please
There's not much left for me to lose, can anybody heal these wounds ? Someone to start my life anew - where's that someone where are you ?
Somebody save me I'm close to the edge - someone to fill me with life give me dreams I never had
Somebody save me and answer my pleas - someone to lift me back up and to put my heart at ease
Somebody help me please
The lyrics to Krypteria's "Somebody Save Me" describe the feelings of hopelessness and desperation that come with feeling isolated and lost. The singer describes themselves as stripped bare, with all their vulnerabilities laid out on display for anyone to see. They feel tied up, battered, and alone, yearning for someone to come and rescue them from their despair. However, despite their desperate pleas for help, they wonder if anyone will ever truly come to their aid.
The singer's feelings of isolation and desperation are palpable in lines like "Outcast, alone, searching but never finding," and "There's not much left for me to lose." They are willing to give everything they have for even a small glimmer of hope, searching for someone or something that can help lift them out of their despair. Ultimately, the song is a plea for help, a cry for someone to come and save the singer before it's too late.

I can very much relate with this song. As much as I would not like to. I do. Thus I am glad someone like Kypteria had the strength to write and perform it. Takes alot of character.
