You gave me everything I can't stand
You're like a ton of dust when I'm lost in the desert
A bag of bricks when I'm stuck in quicksand
You're a pool of fuel when my house is on fire
You're like a blindfold in the dark
You're like a glass of water when I'm drowning in the ocean
Vade retro inimice vade retro nunc
Make my day say bye bye
Vade retro inimice
There's one more bridge to burn
You and I were like angels in the sky
Till we both came crashing down
This you-and-I thing's over now
You and I were like angels in the sky
Till we set our wings on fire
This you-and-I thing's bound to die
Tell me whatever happened to our bed of roses
And why it turned into a bed of thorns
I'm the bird on the beach too bad that you to me
Are like the oil pollution coming to kill me
To me you're just as lovely as a nasty train wreck
I'll miss you like a hole in my head
So do us both a favor go and hit the road jack
Please get lost cause I'm sick off fighting
Vade retro inimice vade retro nunc
Make my day say bye bye
Vade retro inimice
There's one more bridge to burn
You and I were like angels in the sky
Till we both came crashing down
This you-and-I thing's over now
You and I were like angels in the sky
Till we set our wings on fire
This you-and-I thing's bound to die
Thanks for absolutely nothing, thanks for absolutely nothing
Vade retro inimice vade retro nunc
Make my day say bye bye
Vade retro inimice
There's one more bridge to burn
You and I were like angels in the sky
Till we both came crashing down
This you-and-I thing's over now
You and I were like angels in the sky
Till we set our wings on fire
This you-and-I thing's bound to die
The lyrics of Krypteria's song "You & I" tell the story of a romantic relationship that has gone sour. The singer is addressing their former lover, expressing how much they gave them everything they didn't want and can't stand. The metaphors are powerful and vivid - the lover is like a ton of dust in the desert, a bag of bricks in quicksand, a pool of fuel when their house is on fire, and a blindfold in the dark. These comparisons suggest that the lover was not supportive or helpful during difficult times, but rather a hindrance to the singer's well-being.
The lyrics continue with the singer expressing their discontent with the relationship, saying that they feel like they are drowning in the ocean and the lover is just a glass of water, and how they only saw their lover as a bag of tricks when all they wanted was something straightforward. The lyrics are full of strong imagery, representing the lover as the singer's enemy and a negative force in their life. The chorus repeats the idea that they were once like "angels in the sky" but have now "crashed down" and that this "you-and-I thing" is over and bound to fail.
Overall, the lyrics of the song "You & I" are powerful and emotive, representing the difficult process of moving on from a broken relationship. The metaphors and comparisons used to describe the lover and their impact on the singer's life are intense and forceful, creating a vivid picture of the singer's emotional state.
