Their 2006 album debut From KK to Kumbia All-Starz reached number one on Billboard's Latin Pop Albums chart, number one on the Top Latin Albums chart, and number sixty-eight on the Billboard 2001. The album spawned two charting singles, "Chiquilla" (which reached number seven on Hot Latin Tracks, number nine on Latin Regional Mexican Airplay, number twenty-six on Latin Pop Airplay and number thirty-one on Latin Tropical Airplay) and "Parece Que Va A Llover" (which reached number thirty-three on Latin Regional Mexican Airplay).
Many members of Kumbia All Starz and Los Super Reyes were formerly together as Kumbia Kings, which had lots of success but unfortunately, this was bittersweet for the group amidst the controversy and love/hate relationship between the co-founders of Kumbia Kings, A.B. Quintanilla and Cruz Martínez, as well as the other members and ex-members of the group.
A.B. Quintanilla left the group and early in the summer of 2006 formed Kumbia All Starz.

Hablemos de dinero
De todas las cosas
Que compras y
Todas las cosas
Que un día te pueden quitar
Y tu ni cuenta te das
No hay amigo sincero
Si hablamos de dinero
Si ustedes supieran
Amigos las cosas que
Aquí les puedo contar
Se podrían asustar
De cómo cambia la gente
Cuando el dinero se va
Dinero me tuvo loco
Quizás no me creas amigo
Pero yo toque en el auditorio
Nacional con Roberto Cantoral
Dinero me tuvo loco
Que conste que este teclado
Señores yo no lo quise comprar
Pero tengo que jalar
Y me costó bien barato $ 500 na' más
Lo único que me queda
Es la vergüenza ajena
De ver como encuentro
La forma de un día pedirle
Perdón a papá pues no lo
Quise escuchar
Yo siempre fui el primero que
No cuido el dinero
Que siempre venía dispuesto a
Ayudar con dinero a todos los demás
Hasta que a mí me fue mal
Me robaron el dinero
Disque de forma legal
El se llevo la corona
Yo me quede con los fans
Dinero me tuvo loco
Y estoy tocando este teclado
Aquí en este restaurant
Gracias lo que guste dar
Dinero me tuvo loco
Que conste que este teclado
Señores yo no lo quise comprar
Pero tengo que jalar
Y me costó bien barato $ 500 na' más
Y me costó bien barato $ 500 na' más
The song Dinero by Kumbia All Starz explores the role and impact of money in people's lives. The opening line of the song "Let's talk about money" sets the tone for the theme of the song. The lyrics delve into the price people pay to acquire material possessions, and how easily these things can be taken away from them without them even realizing it. The lyrics suggest that money can strain relationships, especially when friends or family members become more concerned with financial gain than interpersonal connections. The song also speaks to the idea that money can change people, and not always for the better. The lyrics tell the story of the artist's struggle with money, how it consumed him, and how he had to take certain gigs even if he didn't want to just to make ends meet. The song tells of how he had to resort to playing a cheap keyboard, a cost-cutting measure he wasn't too proud of.
Overall, the song Dinero by Kumbia All Starz highlights the idea of how money can easily rule one's life. It speaks to how the quest for material possessions and financial gain can damage relationships, change personalities, and take control over one's life. The song serves as a reminder that money is important, but at the end of the day, it shouldn't be allowed to consume one's life.
