Members of the band are or were Ilmari Tuulenhalkoja (vocals), Emil Topaz (guitar and vocals), Johannes Tyrannos (bass guitar and vocals) and Juhana Amadeus (drums). These are stage names, and the real names of the members have not spread outside Seinäjoki. In live shows, a synthesizer player is added (on the latest tour and album, Mikael Rynigen). They do not give interviews (except for one, which has been read by few and was done, unsurprisingly, by a person from Seinäjoki), play encores or speak to their audiences.
So, why theater, of all words to describe them? Well, their live shows could be treated as such, that is why. In a live show, Kuolleet Intiaanit were usually dressed in black suits and top hats and their faces are painted white, except for the area surrounding the eyes, which is black. Other known costumes are straitjackets and black-white-lined suits.
Kuka puhuu suullani?

Olen ihastunut valkoiseen! (Olen ihastunut valkoiseen!)
Olen ihastunut keltaiseen ja siniseen!
Olen ihastunut kaiken kuvaaviin väreihin jotka pitävät minut pystyssä ja hyväksyvät verkkokalvoni käänteet ilman sinua.
Varo!
Olen ihastunut ohuisiin! (Olen ihastunut ohuisiin!)
The song "Kuka puhuu suullani?" by Kuolleet Intiaanit explores the idea of falling in love with different colors and shapes that keep the singer standing and accepting the twists and turns of life without the presence of the love interest. The repetition of "Olen ihastunut" (I am in love) at the beginning of each verse highlights the intensity of their infatuation with these objects, emphasizing how they hold onto anything that keeps them stable in a world without their significant other. The singer mentions their desire for round, thin, and unexplainable shapes, highlighting that their love is not confined to conventional or traditional standards.
However, this love is not innocent or pure. The word "Varo" (be careful) interrupts the flow of the song, almost acting as a warning to the audience or even to themselves. The pills that keep them standing are of all sizes, indicating a possible addiction, and their love for the objects is described in a way that seems obsessive and unhealthy. The singer seems to be struggling with their own emotions and urges, with the use of the word "paha" (bad) in the second verse suggesting feelings of guilt and shame. The final line, "olen ihastunut ihastumatta ihmisiin" (I am in love without falling for people), hints at a fear of intimacy or a reluctance to be vulnerable with others.
Overall, the lyrics of "Kuka puhuu suullani?" present a unique and unconventional approach to love and infatuation, exploring the relationship between oneself and the objects around them as an alternative to traditional romantic relationships.
