All The Words
Kutless Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
I will try to explain these feelings that are true
So looking to the sky I will sing and from my heart to You I bring
All of the words in all of my life that could never explain and never describe
All of my love, which is nothing to hide so I lift up my hands and I worship
I worship You
I will praise You for it's all I have to
give
So looking to the sky I will sing and from my heart to You I bring
All of the words in all of my life that could never explain and never describe
All of my love, which is nothing to hide so I lift up my hands and I worship
By Your grace You let me come talk to You
It's not that I'm worthy I thank you Jesus
For the love that You have shown
All of the words in all of my life that could never explain and never describe
All of my love, which is nothing to hide so I lift up my hands and I worship
With all of the words in all of my life that could never explain and never describe
All of my love, which is nothing to hide so I lift up my hands and I worship
I worship You
The lyrics to Kutless's song "All The Words" are a reflection of the ineffable nature of God and the inability to convey the depth of one's love for Him. The song begins with the singer admitting that they do not know how to speak of the indescribable nature of God, but they are going to try to explain their true feelings regardless. They sing to the sky and lift their hands in worship, bringing all the words they have ever known to express their love and gratitude to God.
The second verse emphasizes the choice to live in God's presence and consistently praise Him. The singer acknowledges that all they have to give is their praise, and they offer it willingly. The person then thanks Jesus for allowing them to come and talk to Him, wholeheartedly expressing their gratitude for the love that He has shown.
In the chorus, the singer repeats that there are no words or actions that can adequately express the love they have for God. They lift their hands in worship, fully embracing the power of the moment and acknowledging that they are giving all they have to give.

Absolutely correct. Their use of Peter Gabriel's "The Book of Love" in the finale was so perfect. Truly some talented writers and producers.
