Redeemer
Kutless Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Your face is all I see
And when Your eyes, are on this child
Your grace abounds to me
There is a redeemer, Jesus God's own Son
Precious Lamb of God Messiah
Holy One
Thank You oh my Father
For giving us Your Son
And leaving Your Spirit till
The work on earth is done
Thank You oh my Father
For giving us Your Son
And leaving Your Spirit till
The work on earth is done
Hallelujah...
In Kutless's song Redeemer, the lyrics express the singer's love and devotion for God. The opening line, "Oh Lord, You're beautiful, Your face is all I see", suggests that the singer is so focused on God that they can see nothing else. The following lines, "And when Your eyes, are on this child, Your grace abounds to me", embodies the idea that God's grace and love makes the singer feel complete and satisfied.
The second part of the song talks about Jesus as the redeemer, the savior who came to earth to sacrifice His life for humanity. It says, "There is a redeemer, Jesus God's own Son, Precious Lamb of God Messiah, Holy One". This signifies that Jesus is the Messiah, the chosen one of God who was sent to earth to redeem humanity from sin and save them from eternal damnation.
Overall, Kutless's song Redeemer is a celebration of God's love and redemption. The song expresses gratitude to God for sending His son to redeem humanity and for leaving the Holy Spirit to help us complete the work God has for us on earth.

They are fans of Keith Green. That's how you know these guys are really Christians. When you're dragging up an Old Saint like Keith Green from the 1970s, you know your stuff.
