progressive and alternative rock music such as Muse and Porcupine Tree.
KYROS (known as Synaesthesia 2012-2015) formed in 2012 in London, England and consists of Shelby Warne on lead vocals and keyboards, Joey Frevola and Sam Higgins on guitar, Peter Episcopo on bass guitar and Robin Johnson on drums. The five piece came together after Shelby was in need of completing the band line up to transition from a solo studio project to a fully fledged performing and writing group.
Although only having existed for a few years, the group has already released a critically acclaimed debut album and a successful limited edition EP. The debut album featured
artwork designed by Freyja Dean, the daughter of legendary album cover artist Roger Dean. Songs from these two releases have received airplay on various radio stations including Team Rock Radio. On top of this, KYROS has performed a number of impressive shows ranging from festival dates in UK, Germany and USA to supporting high profile bands such as Marillion and Anathema. In 2015, the band performed sixteen dates across Europe supporting Spock’s Beard, all with hugely receptive crowds and positive reactions.
KYROS has also gained positive reactions from within the press. They received top spot in the ‘Tip for 2014’ and runner up in the ‘Tip for 2016’ awards from Prog Magazine as well as a nomination for the ‘Limelight’ category within the Progressive Music Awards. Their debut album received critical acclaim from all over the spectrum. The band has attracted interviews and article write-ups from respected journalists such as Malcolm Dome and Rich Wilson. Both gave positive words regarding the debut album and their thoughts on the future and direction of the band. Wilson described the album as being “an exceptional debut from a band who will only improve”.
In Autumn 2016, KYROS will be independently releasing a maxi single entitled ‘Cloudburst’, which is to be shortly followed by a double-album called ‘Vox Humana’. This album will mark the band’s fourth overall release as well as being the band’s second official album release.

Technology Killed the Kids II
Kyros Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴
Own you, end you. How?
Settle now for you, me, our time
Though I find I'm not cold
I'm warmed by your light
Find the draw to keys
And though you call, call me now
Your world of your voice
Connected for good
Good? For good?
Ghost kids settle into snide
All of them now at war,
He calls all the names but nah, it's fine
At least when he's on top
Ghost kids falling through the roof
She types, he types, ""I'm first and""
Another world, another line
Belligerence defines our face
We hold it precious now
What a lie to hold
What a lie
It's the calling of the line
Hold it up - this is your life
This will now control you
Ghost kids inside the mind
Ghost kids inside controlling
Ghost kids are mostly fake
Deceit, the lies, intentions
But we ingest it now
By proxy face removal
Rid them of their voice
This will now control you
Step in, code controls you
He will call you now
Occupy the brain, addicted
Calls the shots
It's another yet another friendly conversation
Gotta hit the likes
Analytics besides
All a goal
Algorithm confides
It's my only hope
Eminence, unconcerned
This victorium inside my mind concealed
Indisposed, iInsignificance
Never now hold me
Yet it's inside me
Clawing away now
Giving away now
Tell me then
What you'd say, outside?
Commoner feeling, inside
Demolish, fight me
New pics
New vids
New content to fret
Never now hold me
Yet it's inside me
Clawing away now
Giving away now
Come on then
What you feel, inside
Never mind, I'm not outside
Anonymous barrier
Spectrums, endless echo chambers here
Do you really want to start that now?
To be fair you are dense
Algorithm, endless chambers
Echo chambers
""Fight me lame ass bitch""
Shake your fist, blame the other side for this
Use your feelings
""Facts are just fake news, it's what you know""
Occupy the brain, addicted
Calls the shots
It's another yet another friendly conversation
Gotta hit the likes
Analytics besides
Kill the root
Algorithm confides
It's my only hope
Eminence, unconcerned
My victorium inside my mind concealed
Indisposed Insignifi
Never now hold me
Yet it's inside of me
Clawing away now
Ghost kids they come to me
Melted minds guide me through
Eminence, unconcerned
Mind concealed
Indisposed
Insignificance, it comes to me
He will call you now
Own you, end you. How?
The lyrics of Kyros's song "Technology Killed the Kids III" delve into the themes of technology addiction and its impact on human connection and individual identity. The song starts with the assertion that technology will take control over our lives and questions how it will happen. The line "Settle now for you, me, our time" suggests a resignation to this inevitable takeover.
The next lines, "Though I find I'm not cold, I'm warmed by your light," seem to convey a sense of contradictory feelings. Despite acknowledging the coldness that technology can create between people, the singer finds solace or comfort in the virtual connections formed through technology.
The mention of "keys" and crawling into someone's mind signifies the invasive nature of technology and how it infiltrates our thoughts. The repetitive phrase "call me now" emphasizes the constant presence of virtual interactions and the allure of technology's voice, which ultimately keeps us connected.
The reference to "ghost kids" indicates a generation that is immersed in technology, without truly confronting the real world. They engage in snide behavior and warfare in digital spaces, alluding to the lack of empathy and authenticity in online interactions. The line "Deceit, the lies, intentions" highlights the deceptive nature of these interactions.
The lyrics also touch upon the addiction to social validation through likes and analytics, suggesting that the pursuit of popularity and attention drives individuals to prioritize virtual connections over genuine experiences.
The phrase "Eminence, unconcerned" and references to "victorium" and "indisposed" evoke a sense of resignation or powerlessness in the face of technology's dominance. Despite the acknowledgment of its negative effects, the singer feels trapped and unable to escape from its grasp.
In conclusion, "Technology Killed the Kids III" portrays the takeover of technology in our lives, the damaging effects it has on human connection, and the struggle to maintain a sense of self and authenticity in a digital world. The lyrics reflect the complexities and internal conflicts that arise from this technological invasion, leaving the listener to question the true extent of its influence.

on Rumour
You're on the lane, several beatings down the door
When shedding skin is all you'd left to do
I roll the dice, slay the light cause it's so bright
And indecision's glowing in my eyes
Voices coming down
Voices shooting now
Your voice is indescribable
Your bullets of a triggered gun right in my brain
Reminders of the feelings that you've drowned
And the shadows, drenching memories bring you down
No wonder failure's what you've found
Tell me lies, tell me lies
Dry your eyes, show the cries and publicise to make you mine
I'll apologise, otherwise you'll realise
How I've ruined every second that we've memorised
Rumours in the night, can someone hear me?
Rumours in the night, don't ever set her free
And now you're mine, you're an anchor man, an owner of
Is this skin trade ever growing out of line?
My love and patience grows so deep, you intruder in my mind
Soul collapse inside
Voices coming down
Voices shooting now
Your voice is indescribable
Your bullets of a triggered gun right in my brain
Tell me lies, tell me lies
Dry your eyes, show the cries
Oh recognise that you are mine
I'll apologise, otherwise you'll realise
How I've messed up every second that we've memorised
Tell me lies, tell me lies
Outsized to compromise and if I ever had to realise
Don't be long, carry on
Reminders of the feelings that you've drowned
And the shadows, drenching memories bring you down
As all the tears run dry upon your face
After climbing through the tangled torn-out lace
Tell me lies, tell me lies
Dry your eyes, show the cries
Oh recognise that you are mine
I'll apologise, otherwise you'll realise
How I've wasted every second that we've memorised
Rumours in the night, can someone hear me?
Rumours in the night, don't ever set her free.
