progressive and alternative rock music such as Muse and Porcupine Tree.
KYROS (known as Synaesthesia 2012-2015) formed in 2012 in London, England and consists of Shelby Warne on lead vocals and keyboards, Joey Frevola and Sam Higgins on guitar, Peter Episcopo on bass guitar and Robin Johnson on drums. The five piece came together after Shelby was in need of completing the band line up to transition from a solo studio project to a fully fledged performing and writing group.
Although only having existed for a few years, the group has already released a critically acclaimed debut album and a successful limited edition EP. The debut album featured
artwork designed by Freyja Dean, the daughter of legendary album cover artist Roger Dean. Songs from these two releases have received airplay on various radio stations including Team Rock Radio. On top of this, KYROS has performed a number of impressive shows ranging from festival dates in UK, Germany and USA to supporting high profile bands such as Marillion and Anathema. In 2015, the band performed sixteen dates across Europe supporting Spock’s Beard, all with hugely receptive crowds and positive reactions.
KYROS has also gained positive reactions from within the press. They received top spot in the ‘Tip for 2014’ and runner up in the ‘Tip for 2016’ awards from Prog Magazine as well as a nomination for the ‘Limelight’ category within the Progressive Music Awards. Their debut album received critical acclaim from all over the spectrum. The band has attracted interviews and article write-ups from respected journalists such as Malcolm Dome and Rich Wilson. Both gave positive words regarding the debut album and their thoughts on the future and direction of the band. Wilson described the album as being “an exceptional debut from a band who will only improve”.
In Autumn 2016, KYROS will be independently releasing a maxi single entitled ‘Cloudburst’, which is to be shortly followed by a double-album called ‘Vox Humana’. This album will mark the band’s fourth overall release as well as being the band’s second official album release.

The Lamb The Badger & The Bee
Kyros Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Pleading for affection - a hand to hold
She strives for love, for people's gaze
Baiting, pining, in need of praise
Constant whining, won't leave me alone
Why should I subject myself to this?
There's the bee in constant motion
Never resting, an image to keep
Can't switch off, he's in too deep
Could there be, a more conforming family
Banality, someone set me free
And now the lamb
He wanders free
Full of innocence, joy, and naivety
Optimistic child mind
Not a care in the world, he's flying blind
There's no green light, no highway to heaven
But his mind's so pure, with a heart of gold
His days are clear as crystal
Stars in his eyes
He'll reach for the stars
Spirit soar high
Could there be, a more conforming family
Banality, someone set me free
Can't you see
The plain and pointless tragedy
Of it all
Can you not agree?
How could you leave me now
Leave me here and hide away
Do you find me sickening
Why do you hate me, son?
I've had enough of your ways
If solitude is what you crave
I'll leave you, all alone
Leave you now, all alone
Never enough time in the day
All the things I need to do right now
Never any cause for delay
Never ever any time to spare
Work hard throughout all your lifetime
Striving day and night to do your share
Oh, isn't life happy
So simple and carefree
A world full of beauty
There is so much to see
Humanity is a gift
You people are so great
It's difficult to hate
Did I mention you're so great
Your life should be happy
So simple and carefree
You live among beauty
There is so much to see
Could you three
The lamb, the badger and the bee
Could you leave me be?
"The Lamb The Badger & The Bee" by Kyros explores the contrasting personalities and struggles of three characters: the badger, the bee, and the lamb. The badger represents someone who is desperate for love and attention, constantly seeking validation and praise from others. Despite this yearning, the singer questions why they should subject themselves to this constant need for validation. The bee, on the other hand, is portrayed as an industrious and driven individual who is always on the move, obsessively trying to maintain a certain image. However, the bee's inability to switch off and deep involvement in their work leaves them trapped in a cycle of never-ending productivity. The lamb, in contrast, embodies innocence, joy, and naivety. With a childlike mind oblivious to the complexities of the world, the lamb remains optimistic and carefree, flying blindly through life.
The lyrics also touch upon the idea of conformity and the struggle to break free from societal expectations. The repeated questioning of whether there could be a more conforming family highlights the longing for individuality and freedom from banality. The lamb, with its pure mind and heart, becomes a symbol of hope and authenticity in a world consumed by conforming to societal norms. The song ends with a plea for the characters to leave the singer alone, possibly indicating a desire for solitude and escape from the pressures and constraints imposed by others.

on Rumour
You're on the lane, several beatings down the door
When shedding skin is all you'd left to do
I roll the dice, slay the light cause it's so bright
And indecision's glowing in my eyes
Voices coming down
Voices shooting now
Your voice is indescribable
Your bullets of a triggered gun right in my brain
Reminders of the feelings that you've drowned
And the shadows, drenching memories bring you down
No wonder failure's what you've found
Tell me lies, tell me lies
Dry your eyes, show the cries and publicise to make you mine
I'll apologise, otherwise you'll realise
How I've ruined every second that we've memorised
Rumours in the night, can someone hear me?
Rumours in the night, don't ever set her free
And now you're mine, you're an anchor man, an owner of
Is this skin trade ever growing out of line?
My love and patience grows so deep, you intruder in my mind
Soul collapse inside
Voices coming down
Voices shooting now
Your voice is indescribable
Your bullets of a triggered gun right in my brain
Tell me lies, tell me lies
Dry your eyes, show the cries
Oh recognise that you are mine
I'll apologise, otherwise you'll realise
How I've messed up every second that we've memorised
Tell me lies, tell me lies
Outsized to compromise and if I ever had to realise
Don't be long, carry on
Reminders of the feelings that you've drowned
And the shadows, drenching memories bring you down
As all the tears run dry upon your face
After climbing through the tangled torn-out lace
Tell me lies, tell me lies
Dry your eyes, show the cries
Oh recognise that you are mine
I'll apologise, otherwise you'll realise
How I've wasted every second that we've memorised
Rumours in the night, can someone hear me?
Rumours in the night, don't ever set her free.
