The beauty of city lights is visible from the hilltop

Amidst the wind and the stillness, the individual got lost in the beauty of nature

Eagle flew out of the night
A magical moment occurred when the eagle appeared out of nowhere and caught the individual's attention

He was something to observe
The eagle was so magnificent that it caught the individual's attention and stirred up his imagination

Came in close, I heard a voice
The eagle came closer and the individual heard an inner voice - an epiphany moment

Standing stretching every nerve
The individual was taking in everything in his surroundings and feeling the moment

Had to listen had no choice
The voice spoke with authority, there was no option but to pay attention

I did not believe the information
The message was not easy to believe, it required trust and imagination

I just had to trust imagination
The individual chose to have faith in the newfound belief

The individual's heart was racing with excitement and anticipation

"Son," he said "Grab your things, I've come to take you home."
The voice asked the individual to gather his bearings and come along for a journey back home

To keep in silence I resigned
To avoid judgement from society, the individual chose to keep their experience to themselves

My friends would think I was a nut
The individual was worried about judgement from those who would not believe

Turning water into wine
The individual experienced moments of magic, almost like turning water into wine

Open doors would soon be shut
Opportunities would come to an end if the individual did not take action

So I went from day to day
Life was a monotonous routine without the excitement of the epiphany moment

Tho' my life was in a rut
Despite running the day-to-day routine, the individual felt stuck in life

"Till I thought of what I'd say Which connection I should cut
After some introspection, the individual figured out what changes needed to be made

I was feeling part of the scenery
The individual felt like he/she was insignificant, just a part of the bigger picture

I walked right out of the machinery
The individual broke out of the routine and stepped out of the system

The individual felt liberated and excited about the changes

The inner voice once again asked the individual to come along for the journey back home

When illusion spin her net
When caught in an illusion, it becomes difficult to realize the truth

I'm never where I want to be
The individual feels out of place and desires a different path, away from the illusion

And liberty, she pirouettes
Freedom seems like a distant dream that is just beyond reach

When I think that I am free
Despite feeling free, one is held back by various factors and unable to achieve true freedom

Watched by empty silhouettes
The individual feels like everyone is watching, but no one is there to truly understand

Who close their eyes but still can see
People may seem to be ignorant, but they still perceive the individual's actions and judge

No one taught them etiquette
People's judgmental attitudes are ingrained in them without being taught

I will show another me
The individual has evolved and will showcase a new and different version of themselves
