東京都出身。シニカルな視点で描き出されるリリックと、心地よいフローが印象的なヒップホップアーティスト。

1979年
イギリス人の父と日本人の母との間に生まれる。幼少から高校まで東京都杉並区で育ち、セント・メリーズ・インターナショナル・スクール卒業後アメリカへ留学する。
2002年
DJ TONKのアルバム「Aquarian Soul」にCocoa Brovaz（SMIF-N-WESSUN）やMummy-D等とともに参加。これをキッカケに本格的なキャリアをスタートさせる。m-flo、Bach Logic、SEEDA、I-DeA、GICODE、DJ WHOOKIDなど、数々の国内外アーティストとの客演を重ねる。
2006年
1stアルバム「Laughin'」を発売。（2010年に再発。初回プレス盤（現在は廃盤）はネットオークションで高額取引をされており、再発盤には入っていない「ウェッサイvsセンターGUY」という楽曲が収録されている。また、2010年にはアナログ盤「Laughin'-EP」として発売された。）
2007年
インディレーベル「MATENRO RECORDS」をDOC-DEEと立ち上げ、アルバム「麻天楼」を発売。発売と同時に完売する異例のヒットとなった。再プレス後も完売を繰り返すロングセールスを記録している。紙ジャケ仕様。（現在ではCDの再発はなく、iTunesミュージックストアで配信のみ販売している。）
「麻天楼〜夏場所〜」を発売。邦楽HIPHOP MIXCDのパイオニア的な作品として人気を集め、即完売となる。
オフィシャルブログ「吾輩はエルである」を開始。
2008年
ユニバーサルとメジャー契約。1stシングル『万歳』を発売。同曲のMVはスペースシャワーMusic Video Awardにノミネートされた。続けて、KREVAを参加した2ndシングル「Step Up 」、2ndアルバム「FREE」を発売。
メジャーと共にインディーズでもMIXCD「麻天楼〜春場所〜」、「麻天楼〜冬場所〜」を発売。
2009年
DAG FORCE、DJ SHU-GとMIXCD「BARS&VIBES」を発売。配信限定シングル「PRIMARYCOLORS feat.Spontania,Micro,NAO」、「EDUTAINMENT feat.K-DUB SHINE」を発売。
2010年
自身3枚目のアルバム「LOVIN’」をMATENRO RECORDSより発売。
MIXCD「麻天楼」シリーズのシーズン１最後となる「麻天楼-秋場所〜ちょっと早めの収穫祭〜」を発売。
AKLOと「BETTER HALVES」というプロジェクトを発足。シングル「ONE WAY OUT」を発売し、収録曲のリミックスコンテストを開催した。
12月、業界初の音楽楽曲付きのキャンディー「BLING BLING CANDY」を自身のサイトで独占販売。
12月31日、「Amebreak AWARD 2010 BEST ARTIST, GROUPS」の第5位に選ばれる。[1]
