Never
L.M.S Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I see the world, I've had enough
Nothing seems to last
Happiness drifting away so fast
Everyday I just kneel down and pray
Pray for the day
Stay by my side
I'm willing to give up my life
You gave my all my pride
so you don't have to cry
If you know just give me a sign
Dariling if you love me
can I be your only one
You're the one who warms me
you're like the sun
You just bring me so much fun
nothing undone
no matter what you've done
Darling don't you know
I am never gonna run
So why should I pretend I stillhave to run
Other ones won't know
will never know
I see the world, I've had enough
Nothing seems to last
Ioneliness I never wish to have
Everyday I just kneel down and pray
Pary for a way
Stay by my side
I'm willing to give up my time
you guide me through my life
I'm always by your side
Only you know what's on my mind
Dariling if you love me
can I be your only one
You're the one who warms me
you're like the sun
You just bring me so much fun
nothing undone
no matter what you've done
Darling don't you know
I am never gonna run
So why should I pretend I stillhave to run
Other ones won't know
will never know

Other ones won't know
will never know

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to L.M.S's song "Never" present the story of a boy who seems to have it all, but in reality is struggling with his personal demons. He has a problem that he cannot solve, and despite his attempts to lie, people can see through it. He has money, diamonds and people around him, but they are all fake and not worth anything. He is lost and alone, cashing checks like a CUNY refund and living a life of superficial freedom that is not true happiness. His mom is always there for him, but he never treats her right. He is addicted to the sensation of sniffing green, which could either refer to money or drugs. The boy thinks he belongs and is a leader, but in reality, he is just a pawn in somebody else's game.

The chorus repeats the same lines, reinforcing the idea that the boy is trapped in a cycle of emptiness and addiction. The final verses are a call-out to the boy's behavior, telling him that he is always wrong and that he's only flexing his money because he thinks it makes him important. The singer is tired of his constant reliance on his wealthy father's money, which makes him uninteresting and boring. The boy needs to get off his addiction and start living a meaningful life, but he doesn't know how to do it.

Overall, "Never" is a song that speaks to the darker side of wealth and addiction. It shows how people can become trapped in their own illusions and lose sight of what really matters in life. It's a cautionary tale that warns against chasing superficial success and material possessions, as they will never bring true happiness and fulfillment.
