Stronger
L.U.S.T Lyrics

Baby don't cry no more
Wipe those motherfucking tears from your eyes
No more tears, cry no more
I know it seems like the world is against you
Sixteen on the street on the drugs and nowhere to go home to
Two kids, no man, no mom to turn to
Everyone that you trust hurts you
So to yourself you keep your burden
But you keep your head up
With your kids on the street looking for food to eat
Through the summertime, through the wintertime
When the freezing cold blow your mind
And the tears from your eyes seal your thoughts
And in your heart you keep your evil thoughts
Cause to trust anyone you find it really hard
No matter what they say to you
That can make you feel down
No more fuck blues
Baby don't cry no more
Baby don't cry no more
Baby don't cry no more
Baby don't cry no more
Baby don't cry no more
Baby don't cry no more
No more tears (wipe the tears from your eyes)
I know sometimes you wish you were never born too
Suicide thoughts haunt you
Finger on the trigger at your head you held a rifle
You're still here today cause your kids depend on you
Pen and paper you turn to
For sixteen years you struggle
Now you're thirty-two and your book published
And the world wants to know you
They call you role model
Use you as an example
For other people struggle
For all the things that you've been through
You even break down at interview
But you held it together
And now you got a bestseller
Hah Ha!
Baby don't cry no more
Baby don't cry no more
Baby don't cry no more
Baby don't cry no more
Baby don't cry no more
Baby don't cry no more
Wipe those motherfucking tears from your eyes
I know you struggle through the pain
And through the pain you'll get your fame
I know you got a name
But of your past you're not ashamed
To all the men that been with you
And everyone who curse you
Through you're destitute you turn prostitute
And now you got two youth
And they looking cute dressed in designer suit
But when you go to Sunday church
And the pastor preach the words
It's like he's preaching to you
And everyone's staring at you
But only God can judge you
What you did in the past stay in the past
And your past cannot define you
Did what you had to do to survive
To stay alive for your kids to have a better life
Baby don't cry no more
Baby don't cry no more
Baby don't cry no more

Baby don't cry no more
No more tears cry no more

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to L.U.S.T's song "Stronger" tell the story of a woman who has faced immense challenges in her life and has overcome them to become a strong and resilient individual. The song begins by acknowledging the hardships she has faced, from being homeless on the streets to having no support system. Despite these struggles, she keeps her head up and remains determined to provide for her children. The lyrics reflect the pain and suffering she has endured, with references to tears, freezing cold, and evil thoughts she keeps in her heart. However, the song also emphasizes her resilience and refusal to be brought down by others. The chorus encourages her to not cry anymore and to wipe away her tears, symbolizing her ability to move forward and find strength in herself.

As the song progresses, it highlights the woman's journey towards success and recognition for her resilience. It mentions her writing a book that gets published and becoming a role model for others who are struggling. The lyrics also address her past, acknowledging that she may have made choices she's not proud of, including turning to prostitution as a means of survival. However, it emphasizes that her past does not define her and that she should not be ashamed. The song ends with a message of hope, urging her to continue to push through the pain and hardships because it will ultimately lead to her achieving fame and a better life for herself and her children.
