1… Read Full Bio ↴There are multiple artists that have performed under the name Liz:
1) Elizabeth Abrams, known professionally as Liz (stylized in all caps or LIZ Y2K), is an American singer and songwriter from California. She effortlessly adopts modern R&B's glossiest melodies and subtly infuses the street banger to create tasteful post-ratchet lollipop sounds. Guided by some of music's most progressive curators, LIZ thrives in the grey area between serious artistry and the kitsch thinking production. The resulting aesthetic has no need to proclaim itself as genuine or honest In the end, we see an artist that's quite frank in reminding us that music should simply make us feel good. LIZ unapologetically displays a thoughtful play on Y2K R&B Pop with shades of forward.

It's all or nothin'
Feel my heart beat like a clock
Mickey, won't you wind me up?
You turn me on
Give me somethin', cause I'm feenin' for you
Feel my heart beat like a clock
Mickey, won't you wind me up?
Modern boys, looking hot
You think you're humble? You're so not
Modern boys with ADD
On a pussy window shopping spree
Respect the gold, this ain't for free
Need the combination, you need the key
You can holler at them if that's your speed
But I'm stayin' sucker free
Mickey, you're hot, you kill it
Can't believe you're the one I'm hittin'
But, I need you to stop and listen
Mickey, put your phone down, look me in the eye
So we can work it out
You want my love
It's all or nothing
Feel my heart beat like a clock
Mickey, won't you wind me up?
You turn me on
Give me somethin', cause I'm feenin' for you
Feel my heart beat like a clock
Mickey, won't you wind me up?
Make it bounce, make it bounce
Cause I'm hot, cause I'm hot for you, Mickey
Make it bounce, make it bounce
Cause I'm hot, cause I'm hot for you, Mickey
Make it bounce, make it bounce
Cause I'm hot, cause I'm hot for you, Mickey
Make it bounce, make it bounce
Cause I'm hot, cause I'm hot for you, Mickey
Man-child, you decide
You can go left or you can go right
You can party with your selfie and your phone all night
Live your life the way you see fit
Exercise 'til it makes you sick
Whatever it is that makes you tick
Here's a trick to make me click
Love's the ticket, that's it
Mickey, you're hot, you kill it
Can't believe you're the one I'm hittin'
But I need you to stop and listen
Mickey, put your phone down, look me in the eye
So we can work it out
You want my love
It's all or nothing
Feel my heart beat like a clock
Mickey, won't you wind me up?
You turn me on
Give me somethin', cause I'm feenin' for you
Feel my heart beat like a clock
Mickey, won't you wind me up?
Let's have a conversation
Let's quit the bullshittin'
I know you're not like the other guys
No more small talkin'
I want that real shit
This ain't the time to compromise
You want my love
It's all or nothin' (It's all or nothin')
Feel my heart beat like a clock
Mickey, won't you wind me up?
You turn me on (You turn me on)
Give me somethin', cause I'm feenin' for you
Feel my heart beat like a clock
Mickey, won't you wind me up?
Make it bounce, make it bounce
Cause I'm hot, cause I'm hot for you, Mickey
Make it bounce, make it bounce
Cause I'm hot, cause I'm hot for you, Mickey
Make it bounce, make it bounce
Cause I'm hot, cause I'm hot for you, Mickey
Make it bounce, make it bounce
Cause I'm hot, cause I'm hot for you, Mickey
Anata-wa chou baka. Sayonara!
In Liz's song "Mickey", she is expressing her desires and feelings towards a man named Mickey. She wants him to give her all of his love and attention, as indicated by the line "You want my love, it's all or nothing." She compares her heart beating to a clock, symbolizing that her feelings for him are constant and unwavering. She wants him to "wind her up," or give her the energy and attention she needs to keep going.
In the second verse, Liz comments on the modern dating scene, where men are often more focused on superficial things like looks and constantly looking at their phones, rather than building a true connection with someone. She emphasizes that she wants someone who is genuine and willing to communicate with her, not just looking to "hit it and quit it."
Overall, the song is a plea for genuine love and attention, rather than just fleeting moments of passion. Liz wants Mickey to see her as a person, rather than just a source of temporary pleasure.
