LMNO was introduced to the music industry in late 80's early 90's witnessing at first hand the N.W.A. legacy, (see the LMNO's cameo appearance in the D.O.C.'s "Formula" video with Dr. Dre). LMNO was recruited by Rhyme Syndicate to be in his first group with fellow Visionaries member Key-Kool. After the group disbanded, LMNO worked on various demo projects until his debut on the Circle of Power (of Blak Forest) album. LMNO then contributed works on the Blak Forest crew album "You are Now Entering."
With the West Coast Underground and it's rising star Ras Kass grabbing the attention of the hip-hop world, heads on the West and East tuned into Key-Kool & Rhettmatic's "E=MC5," a posse cut featuring Ras Kass and his crew Western Hemisfear; ironically, the "white kid" from Long Beach named LMNO shocked audiences with the infamous "Don't f--- with LMNO, or I'll send your demo tape to Jerry Heller" From that point, LMNO began gaining attention, and could very well have fallen into the "shock-line rapper" category, yet, this spiritually maturing artist chose quite a different path, and left the "tongue & cheek" style for others to exploit.
Charging forward as a spiritual soldier, with faith and JAH as motivation, LMNO began evolving as an artist and a person. After shaping and voicing his views on the Visionaries albums "Galleries" and "Sophomore Jinx," LMNO was ready for his debut solo effort. His debut 12 inch sleeper cult-classic "Hit the Fence," as well as the popular 12" inch releases "Radiant" and "Grin & Bear It" had heads waiting for a full length album.
LMNO's "Leave My Name Out" (Up Above Records) includes his popular singles, along with brilliant LMNO/MadLib team-up "Head Lock," yet it is the spiritually truthful, life-driven songs that seemed most appropriately reflective of the times in which the album was released: just after the tragic events of 9/11.
LMNO has been putting in much work with Visionaries doing numerous shows, recordings and touring. LMNO is currently promoting his third album " P's & Q's " IN STORES NOW on UP ABOVE RECORDS/CAROLINE DISTRIBUTION.
LMNO is still putting in much work with Visionaries doing numerous shows, recordings and touring. He is currently promoting his fifth album "WORKETHIC" IN STORES Jan. 23rd on Technicali Sound / Super D Distribution... Give Thanks & GOD BLESS

Take the knuckle out your head
Expressive, aggressive, sensitive, breadrin, Excedrin
Binge, cringe at the sight
Of wasted talent afraid to shine bright
Suicidal career kept broke too long
We had to separate because we weren't getting along
Work it out, masseuse, get rid of the kinks (Now I want to pound) this beat (until it stinks)
Unwind your mind, you're walking on the dotted line
Nine, danke
I'm fine thank ya
Bust them like Canadian Customs
Rush 'em, then we dust 'em
Spring cleaning crews, yo, we hush 'em
Muzzle and a leash for direction
Puzzle's missing piece
Get the connection?
With truth there's no hidden dimension
It's in God's hands once we let him
[Chorus]
I gotta, I gotta, I gotta
Always improve
Always must move
Make the grand groove
I gotta, I gotta, I gotta
I gotta, I gotta, I gotta
Always improve
Always must move
Make the grand groove
I gotta, I gotta, I gotta
Start time Run tape, drug free escape
Against one's faith there is no debate
A rolling stone woolie
No thank you, I just ate
Put us on the flyer, watch the crowd populate
Vibrate, fill the heart, palpitate, drop the eight
Fifty dollars later got me thinking pretty straight
Never no hurry flash, we just couldn't wait
Live lines for the release date
At least state champion, that's what I'm on
Winning team driven by a dream chaperoned
This microphone clean-cut
Prophetical, tell it how I told it
Wrote it, tracked it, packaged it, sold it
[Chorus]
I gotta, I gotta, I gotta, I gotta
The LMNO song "Always" is a reflection on the struggles of being an artist and the constant need to improve and evolve. The lyrics speak of wasted talent and the fear of shining too bright, with the idea that a suicidal career can keep one broke for too long. The importance of working out the kinks and unwinding the mind is emphasized, as well as the need to separate if necessary to grow as an artist. The chorus repeats the mantra of always improving, always moving forward, and always making the grand groove.
The verses themselves talk about the process of creation, with references to recording techniques, collaborations, and the struggle to stay drug-free. The image of being on a flyer and drawing a crowd is juxtaposed with the idea of being a rolling stone woolie, or someone who is constantly on the move and unable to settle down. Despite this, the artist remains focused on their dream, driven to become a champion and to deliver their message in a clean, cutting way.
Overall, "Always" speaks to the difficulty of being an artist and the continuous effort required to succeed in a highly competitive field. Through a mix of introspection and determination, the song encourages artists to keep striving towards their goals and never settle for mediocrity.
