Faded
LSB DRS Lyrics

Don't save me (Don't save me)
Forsake me (Forsake me)
'Cause I'm faded
Don't save me (Don't save me)
Forsake me (Forsake me)
'Cause I'm faded

We make ripples that are felt on Orion's belt
In the middle of a meltdown, try and help
But I didn't want to lie down, light work
Weave on sunbeams to you right now, flying stealth
Kamikaze, watch me crash a party, yeah
And bring a vibe like you've never felt, hey
You searching for your own personal heaven, yeah
That's the main reason why you're always finding hell

We make ripples that are felt on Orion's belt
In the middle of a meltdown, try and help
But I didn't want to lie down, light work
Weave on sunbeams to you right now, flying stealth
Kamikaze, watch me crash a party, yeah
And bring a vibe like you've never felt, hey
You searching for your own personal heaven, yeah
That's the main reason why you're only finding hell

Don't save me (Don't save me)
Forsake me (Forsake me)
'Cause I'm faded
You'll never save me from myself
While I'm struggling putting blame on someone else
Don't save me (Don't save me)
Forsake me (Forsake me)
'Cause I'm faded

You'll never save me from myself
I don't know nothin' about a love I never felt

You'll never save me from myself
I don't know nothin' about a love I never felt

Don't save me
Forsake me
'Cause I'm faded
Don't save me

Forsake me
'Cause I'm faded

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of LSB DRS's song Faded are a representation of a person who does not want anyone to help them. The opening two lines are repeated throughout the song, which reinforces the singer's wish for the listener not to save them, but to forsake them. The next few lines are talking about how human beings make waves in the universe that are felt everywhere, even in faraway constellations, and how people try to help each other when times are tough. However, the singer is not interested in being helped and would rather do things their own way.

The following lines related back to the opening lines by saying the singer would rather crash and burn than be saved by someone else. The line "bring a vibe like you've never felt" can be interpreted as a call for the listener to join the singer in doing things the way they want. The final lines bring the song's meaning full circle, reiterating the main theme of the song. The singer doesn't want anyone to save them, especially from themselves. The repetition of the line "I don't know nothing about love I never felt" reinforces the idea that the singer is not interested in love or a relationship.

DRS, on the off chance that you're reading this, I just wanted to say a massive thank you for the art that your create. There are few other lyricists that are as deep, thoughtful and honest as you are. Every time a tune drops with your name on the bill, it's always golden and always makes my day a lot better. You're a massive inspiration to me, please don't ever stop what you're doing!

Wow. I can see why this LP is called Blue. Music like this defines 'melancholy.' Deep, soulful & heartfelt with every beat. Real reflections of real life.
