Tweedle Dee Dee
LaVern Baker Lyrics

Tweedle dee dee, Tweedle dee dee
Tweedle dee dee, Tweedle dee dee

Tweedle tweedle tweedle dee
I'm as happy as can be.
Jimminy cricket, jimminy jack,
You make my heart go clickety-clack.
Tweedle tweedle tweedle dee.

Tweedle tweedle tweedle dot
How you gonna keep that honey you got
Hunkies hunkies fish that bite
I'm gonna see my honey tonight
Tweedle tweedle tweedle dot

Tweedle dum tweedle dum
Give it up give it up,
Give your love to me.
Tweedle dot, tweedle dot.
Gimme gimme gimme gimme
Gimme all the love you got.

Tweedle tweedle tweedle dum
I'm a lucky so-and-so.
Mercy, mercy, pudding pie,
Hubba hubba honey do
I'm gonna keep my eyes on you
Tweedle tweedle tweedle dum.

Tweedle dum, tweedle dum
Give that kiss to me before you go.
Tweedle dum, tweedle dum
Lookie lookie lookie
Look at that sugar plum

Tweedle dee tweedle dum
You're as sweet as bubble gum
Mercy, mercy, pudding pie,
You got something that money can't buy.
Tweedle tweedle tweedle dum

Great song that I've discovered off of the movie "Uncle Buck" when he is making breakfast for the kids, definitely a classic scene!

One of a kind! The 50's decade was a showcase year of fabulous singers in many genres. Lavern Baker was one of the fine vocalists our family listened to.

Love this song, heard it as a child and just now found it.

I know-- it just came into my head, and I realized I'd never really listened to it. Seems like it was released the year I was born. I feel like hit songs used to hang around on the radio for way longer than they do now. Because I don't think I'd remember it if it was only played when I was a baby. Like over years, not as oldies that came back, but they kept playing hit songs as long as people wanted to hear them.

Same here!
