Prends le bus, prends le bus
La Femme's song Antitaxi is a call to take public transportation instead of taking a taxi, which is seen as too dangerous and dubious. The repetition of "Prends le bus, prends le bus, Antitaxi" (Take the bus, take the bus, Antitaxi) throughout the song serves as a catchy and memorable refrain that reinforces the message of the song. The lyrics suggest that taxis drivers can exploit their passengers, endanger their safety, or be involved in illegal activities.
The repetition of the word "Antitaxi" highlights the rebellious nature of the song, as the band implies that taking the bus is a form of protest against the taxi industry. The use of the prefix "anti-" also connotes a sense of activism and resistance. The emphasis on public transportation as an alternative mode of transport is a move towards a more sustainable lifestyle while also showing distrust for the taxi industry.
In conclusion, the lyrics of La Femme's Antitaxi urge individuals to boycott taxis and take the bus instead, due to the potential danger, untrustworthiness, and corruption associated with taxi drivers. The lyrics' repetition and catchy refrain serve to reinforce the message and emphasize the song's rebellious and activist nature.

I'm super lucky. I saw this CD randomly at a record shop and picked it up for the cover art alone. It was only 4 bucks so I figured even if it sucked it's worth it for the art, but I fucking love this album. I had no idea it was even French at first. Such a unique sound.

God, that's super cool! I like to buy albums from artists I don't know and most of the times I end up loving those albums more than the ones from the artists I do know. That's how I discovered Phoenix

As a Greek person I immediately thought antitaxi was supposed to be about anarchy or "chaos". Taxi in Greek means order.
Well I'm still going to see it that way
