El dia que tot rebente
La Gossa Sorda Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Llauradors de la desil·lusió,
jubilats i sense fer soroll,
becaries de l'angoixa,
cambrers de la misèria
opositant a la eternitat.
Funcionaris de la depressió,
inmigrants de la desesperació,
alumnes del sistema
obrant el precipici,
aturats en l'adversitat.
Oficials de mil euros al mes,
aprenents sense papers,
prostitues sense vida,
músics en silenci,
esclaves del patriarcat.

I el dia que tot rebente,
no m'espereu al tall,
no aniré a treballar.
Que estarem segant cadenes...

Mariners sense mar ni port,
autònoms i amb l'aigua al coll,
proletaris que no esmorzen,
llogats a subcontracta,
acomiadats del benestar,
repartidors de decepcions,
preses de la repressió,
collidors de bastonades,
artistes sense públic,
secretaries sense fumar.

I el dia que tot rebente,
no m'espereu al tall,
no aniré a treballar.
Que estarem segant cadenes...

Fes-ho bé i premedita-ho amb antelació
Adapta't a la norma
que aquest sistema imposa.
Eh! jo que dic? Eh! tu que tens?
La boca, la boca plena de dents!
Eh, somriu! I balla tant com la hipoteca avuí
Adapta't a la norma
que aquest sistema imposa.
Eh! jo que tinc? Eh! tu que tens?
La boca, la boca plena de dents!

I el dia que tot rebente...

Fes-ho bé..!
I fins que arribe un dia
Fes-ho bé..!
Fins que arribe el dia
Fes-ho bé..!
Vindran les sequies plenes
farem saó i plouran pedres,
moltes pedres.

Fes-ho bé..!
I fins que arribe un dia
Fes-ho bé..!
Fins que arribe el dia
Fes-ho bé..!
Vindran les sequies plenes
Eh! jo que tinc? Eh! tu que tens?
La boca, la boca plena de dents!

I el dia que tot rebente...

Overall Meaning

The lyrics describe various groups of people who are marginalized and struggling within society. The first verse speaks of disillusioned farmers, silent retirees, anxious scholarship recipients, miserable waiters, depressed civil servants, hopeless immigrants, and students facing a future of uncertainty. The second verse mentions struggling sailors, drowning self-employed individuals, hungry proletariat, expendable subcontractors, marginalized welfare recipients, disappointed delivery drivers, victims of oppression and violence, battered artists, and secretaries stuck in dead-end jobs. All of these groups, who are often invisible to those in power, are united in their struggle against an unfair and oppressive system.

The chorus, "I won't be at work on the day everything falls apart, because we'll be cutting the chains," suggests a day of reckoning when the marginalized and oppressed will reject their oppression and fight for their freedom. The song's message is that people should be united in solidarity and fight against the unfair and oppressive system that keeps them trapped.
