The band was formed in Lima by several members of the very well known (locally) clown troupé called "Pataclaun" including Jorge "Pelo Madueño" , Gonzalo Torres and Johanna San Miguel.
Their first public performance was on October 31st, 1991 in "Centro Cultural Parra del Riego" (Barranco, Lima) along with established local musician Miki Gonzales.
In 1994 the band released their first album "Al derecho y al revés" including "Aldina" which had brief rotation on MTV Latino. Two years later "Por tierra" ("By land") under the label "Discos Independientes", including the original version of their first - though minor - hit "La Peor de las Guerras" ("The worst of all wars"). Local success ensued and the band was signed by SONY MUSIC in 1998. With SONY they released "Mundo Cachina" which had wide rotation in Peruvian media helped by the video clips for "Mala Sangre" and "No es amor"
In 1999 the band was invited to Sony International's A&R Convention where bands like La Oreja de Van Gogh and Creed (band), also played.
After heavy touring the band went into hiatus in 2000, however in 2007 founding member "Pelo" Madueño announced the band would be playing together again.
Llevame En Tus Manos
La Liga del Sueño Lyrics

De una vida
El bien y el mal me tocan
Me regalan sus mentiras
Viviendo aquí, muriendo allá
Otro día
Que fácil es olvidar
Escucho amores
El rugir de las panteras
Un terremoto
Nace en una tribu, sin fronteras
Diosa del mal, déjame entrar
En la herida
Y en tu sangre coagular
Y ahora entra
Llévame en tus manos
Y mueve a un hombre
En un viejo extraño (x2)
(Extraño si.
Extraño no.)
Llévame en tus manos
Sácame de acá
Diosa del mal, déjame entrar
No creo que tome mucho tiempo
Enamorarte
Te sientes mal tu sabes cuanto llegaré
Hasta odiarte
Viento polar, mata el amor
Que inventamos
Solo con miedos, con bondad
Y ahora entra
Llévame en tus manos
Y mueve a un hombre
En un viejo extraño (x2)
The lyrics of La Liga del Sueño's song Llévame En Tus Manos depict a journey through life with all its ups and downs, good and bad moments. The singer compares his life to a horse that he is racing on, trying to keep up with everything that is happening around him. The challenges of life are personified by the good and the bad, both of which play with him and offer him their lies. The lyrics show the singer's disillusionment with life and how easy it is to forget in the face of everything that happens.
The singer also hears the sounds of love, represented by the roar of the panthers, which is fierce and intense. He compares this to a natural disaster, which comes from a tribe without borders, symbolizing the force and unpredictability of love. The singer asks the goddess of the bad to let him enter her wound and freeze in her blood. This symbolizes the singer's desire to be part of something that is intense and feels deeply.
The chorus of the song is an appeal to the goddess of bad behavior to lead the singer with her hands and take him away from the chaos of his life. He concludes his plea by asking the goddess to take him away and bring something strange and old into his life.
