«In this band I did what I liked», remembers Charly. Inspired by the "elaborate" rock of Steely Dan and the Genesis "symphonism", Charly García formed one of the best Argentine bands rooted in the progressive genre. «We are the Yes of the Third World», synthesizes García. At the time, however, none of the LP's was sucessful, being recognized by the critics and the public long afterwards.
The band dissolved due to internal troubles around 1977.

The song "El Vendedor de Las Chicas de Plástico" by La Máquina de Hacer Pájaros is a commentary on the objectification of women and the commodification of love. The singer, who represents the titular plastic girl vendor, urges men to buy his inflatable dolls as a solution to their loneliness and sexual desires. He describes the dolls as "the sweetest and kindest" in the toy shops and mocks the idea that real women could be as agreeable as these lifeless, plastic objects. The lyrics reference the "industries of love" and suggest that these dolls are a response to the sexual frustrations of a society that values women primarily for their physical appearance and availability.
The song is a critique of the patriarchy and the ways in which it limits women's agency and perpetuates harmful gender stereotypes. Through the lens of the plastic girl vendor, the lyrics expose the absurdity of reducing women to objects and the damage it does to both men and women. The chorus urges men to "buy a pretty woman who doesn't think or eat" and declares that there is "nothing better than a rubber girl." This is a biting commentary on the ways in which men are encouraged to seek out women who are submissive and passive, rather than looking for real, meaningful relationships.
