«In this band I did what I liked», remembers Charly. Inspired by the "elaborate" rock of Steely Dan and the Genesis "symphonism", Charly García formed one of the best Argentine bands rooted in the progressive genre. «We are the Yes of the Third World», synthesizes García. At the time, however, none of the LP's was sucessful, being recognized by the critics and the public long afterwards.
The band dissolved due to internal troubles around 1977.

The lyrics of "Que se puede hacer salvo ver peliculas" by La Maquina De Hacer Pajaros describe a woman who is an actress and seems to be experiencing loneliness and alienation from the world around her. She looks out at the sea, dresses in silver, and no one seems to come and visit her. The singer of the song is in love with her and describes his heart being hers, while his mind is in the stars. His cats sleep on the TV while he goes out for a walk to pass the time. While out walking, he sees her driving her convertible in traffic and he decides to approach her and ask her to take him with her.
The song seems to be about the desire for connection and escaping from mundane life through the fantasy world of movies. The woman in the song may represent the unattainable ideal of perfection that people strive for, both in terms of their own lives and through the escapism of film. The singer's love for the actress and desire to escape with her symbolizes the longing for something beyond the everyday.
Overall, the lyrics of "Que se puede hacer salvo ver peliculas" suggest a sense of isolation and yearning for something more, and the escapism of movies serves as a temporary relief from those feelings. The woman's aloofness and the singer's infatuation with her highlight the struggle to connect with others and the search for meaning and purpose in a world that can feel empty and disconnected.
