In mid-2005 we signed our first record deal with Dangerbird Records, situated in the heart of happening Silverlake. Chrysalis Publishing USA became our close friends this year too, so it is only right that we should pack our duffle bags and set up camp in the USA. We've just recorded an album with Mr. Tony Hoffer (Beck, Air, Supergrass, Belle & Sebastian) and can't wait to be travelling the world playing it to people this year. We look forward to giving you something original and inspiring when we meet.
If You Need The Morning
La Rocca Lyrics

Hours before we met
Then I'd get away with how I'm feeling
I wish you'd never come back
'Cause everyone's the same
Joining all their dots so I don't see them
Lies won't make me older
I'm not giving SOS
Please get starting over
What's she hanging round for
I'm not sorting out this mess
And if you need the morning
I will leave now
If you need the morning
I wish I took more notice
Of street signs on the way
Then this town would not be where I'm living
I wish I read more papers
Of how the West was won
Then my gun would stay under the table
Lies won't make me older
What's she hanging round for
I'm not giving SOS
Please get starting over
What's she hanging round for
I'm not sorting out this mess
And if you need the morning
I will leave now
And if you need the morning
I will leave now
If you need the morning
I will leave now
If you need the morning
The lyrics of La Rocca's "If You Need The Morning" convey a sense of disillusionment and a desire for escape from a seemingly monotonous and unsatisfying existence. The singer wishes he could go back to before he met the object of his affection, implying that their relationship has caused some kind of pain or discomfort. He also expresses frustration with the conformity of those around him, suggesting that he feels alienated from the people in his life.
The repeated lines "Lies won't make me older" and "What's she hanging round for/I'm not giving SOS" suggest that the singer is tired of being misled and taken advantage of, and is determined to take control of his own life. He wishes he had paid more attention to the world around him - street signs, history books - in order to avoid the situation he is currently in.
The chorus promises to leave if the other person "needs the morning," which could be interpreted in a few different ways. It could be a way of saying "if you need to move on from this relationship, I understand and I won't stand in the way," or it could simply be a statement of the singer's own desire for change and renewal.
