Asesino
La Shica Lyrics

Si en mi tatuaje
ya no está tu nombre
es que ya no vives
tan cerca de mi.

Si en las horas muertas
no dejaste huella
brindo por el dia
que te dije fin.

Me robaste el pecho,
dinero y almohada.
Me quedé en los huesos
no me diste nada.

Fui de tu tormenta
la tierra empapada,
la sal en la llaga
de tu corazón.

Con tu mala sombra
me pisaste entera,
si fue cada noche
un derroche de odio,
en una esquinita
tragué mis llantires,
te besé en la frente
y firmé mi custodio.

Ahora sé que me querias
sé que me querias
sé que me querias,
tu a mi me querias.

Ahora sé que me querias
sé que me querias
sé que me querias,
tu a mi me querias...
...a rastras.

Cuando el miedo ladra
mordiendo el aliento,
lástima se viste de remordimiento.
Confundí tu estaca
con un sentimiento
y abrazé tu faca
buscando calor.

Se han caido los años
como flores muertas,
fue porqué soplaba
tu desolación,
y desde la tierra
levanté mi entranya,
apreté los puños
y té hice canción.

Ahora sé que me querias
sé que me querias
sé que me querias,
tu a mi me querias.

Ahora sé que me querias
sé que me querias
sé que me querias,

tu a mi me querias...
...a rastras.

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to La Shica's song "Asesino" tell a story of a past relationship that has ended, but still haunts the singer. She starts by saying that if her tattoo doesn't have his name in it anymore, it's because he's not part of her life anymore. The singer reflects on the time that they spent together, and how she feels like he took so much from her - her heart, her money, and even her pillow. She describes herself as being left with nothing. She was the "earth soaked" by his "storm," the "salt in the wound" of his heart. She suffered through his dark presence and sheer hatred. In a moment of weakness, she cried for him, kissed his forehead, and signed her "custody," meaning she gave up control and allowed him to take over her life.

The singer admits that now she knows he loved her, but he loved her at the expense of her sanity and well-being. She recalls how they were both so lost in their relationship that they mistook violent acts for love. She compares her embrace to a knife, and how she was seeking comfort even when it was painful. She reflects on how over the years, she has been able to recover from the relationship and turned that pain into art - forming the song that she is singing now.
