Walk
Lacunas Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Paranoia
In which I think that I'm not confident
Blood into my hands I can't deny
A buzz into my ears that makes me mad

But I don't look back

While I'm waiting to die
I don't look back
In a weird lullaby
I'll carry on

And the hope in my heart is dry

But I don't look back
And I cannot reply
I don't look back
While I'm waiting to lie
I'll carry on
While they want to decide for me

Once again

Living in their cage
They are killing me

Paranoia
In which I think I'm not that confident

A tiny hope that burns into my breath
A bitter smile delights me at the end

This is part of a story
Self Deception, Comalies, and When A Dead Man walks are all part of a story about an innocent man going to jail while the guilty man runs free, but later turns him in

Self Deception is the first part of the story
When a Dead Man walks in the second
Comalies is the third

(This is the total Run down)

A man takes the fall for someone who is guilty
The innocent man thinks that the guilty man will soon turn himself in, but when he doesnt he lashes out and is sentanced to the death penalty (Self Deception)

The man deals with the thoughts of being a "Dead Man Walking" knowing that he is going to die. (When A Dead Man Walks)

The guilty man is feeling guilty for having this man suffer for him. And seeing him already practially dead, but still waiting to be killed will forever be a blame on him, so he finally comes forward (Comalies)

I played that Album SO MUCH! My Buddy told me that this has become kind of a nostalgic memory for him: "Sitting in your car, listen to Lacuna Coil" - That is almost 20 years ago now. I was still living in Germany. Now I am in the US and my Buddy is living in France.

Unleashed Memories and Comalies are like how Colony and Clayman were for In Flames. So flawless.

@MrStephen182

LC are my all time favourite band but I think Comalies is a highly overrated album.

@adamfowler5475

@@MrStephen182 I'd have to agree to disagree. Comalies for me, is still to this day Lacuna Coils true, elemental sound. It was like a more perfected Unleashed Memories, but steeped beautifully in haunting, gothic eloquence. Comalies has some of the most mesmerizing tracks they've ever written.

Unhealed Memories, Karmacode, Dark Adrenaline, Broken crown halo, Delirium are all better albums than Comalies for me. I'm not saying Comalies is a bad album as it is not but I just prefer all the other LC albums over it.

@adamfowler5475

@@MrStephen182 That's cool I hear ya man. That just goes to show how subjective each listeners experience truly is, and what makes music so entrancing and unique all together. Comalies for me, was not only the first album I heard from LC, but it was discovered during those unique time periods where you come across a new band, and suddenly everything feels more at peace in your life, due to the album finding that gaping music/spiritual hole you never knew existed until then.
