She is known for her image reinventions and musical versatility. Gaga began performing as a teenager, singing at open mic nights and acting in school plays. She studied at Collaborative Arts Project 21, through the New York University Tisch School of the Arts, before dropping out to pursue a career in music. After Def Jam Recordings canceled her contract, she worked as a songwriter for Sony/ATV Music Publishing, where she signed a joint deal with Interscope Records and KonLive Distribution, in 2007. Gaga had her breakthrough the following year with her debut studio album, The Fame, and its chart-topping singles "Just Dance" and "Poker Face". One of the most sensitive and honest protrayals of alcoholism and the journey one must take for those who love an alcoholic. I cried thru most of that movie. I am the child of an alcoholic father, who eventually had to arrange his burial after his death. He died alone and was not found for over a week. So glad this awful disease was not romanticized for the movie. Sometimes the end is in the most horrible way possible as it was for my father. Only God gets the credit for helping me thru the aftermath.

But right after she performs this song, Ally's approached by the manager and this is where she starts to say goodbye to him and the way they used to be. It's definitely the best song from the movie. I have to admit that until the movie I wasn't a fan of her music either, although you could always hear in her voice that she is capable of much more real music. What an emotional scene...WOW.... LGG said in interviews that it was really interesting to relive the fear of being NEW onstage and having nobody really know who you are. The had to do the work and research that actors do to get into that headspace. It was scary and refreshing at the same time to relive "newness" and breaking out for the first time. I just loved this movie - even the ending which tore me to pieces. Such a great job in remaking this classic story.

I'd probably agree only in that I've only head Shallow...besides this song...proves she CAN sing. Pushing aside the over the top costumes and dramatics. This is Gaga at her essence I think...Might even see A Star Is Born (her version..this IS a reboot...for those that don't know). I wonder if these are the same songs sung by Kris Krisstopherson and Barbara Streisand on the original film/soundtrack...

By far the best soundtrack I've ever heard, Lady Gaga is a chameleon of music. Bradley Cooper did more than a great job in this movie, he learned to sing, he wrote and composed also directed and acted. Watched this movie and no regrets.

Never understood why she felt she needed to disguise her image. I think she looked beautiful in this movie. Lesson to be learned from Jennifer Grey from Dirty Dancing. She was tough as nails in that movie and HOT. She gets a nose job. What an idiot. Barbara Streisand never seemed to have a problem. Gaga wins the Best Actress hands down. She was a revelation.

I feel like I came late to hear this song, I passed by this movie, but didn't think I would encounter it until YouTube recommended it to me for some odd reason. I played it on my headphones because I live in a rather noisy home. The lyrics seemed to narrate my life as a writer for my assignments. I am a poet as well. I can do my best to rhyme each last word within a sentence to the next one.

This song reminds me of my lost father.. we are not in good terms during my young age, but that time he is in hospital I take care of him and get a chance to talk about all things that we can't agree before. I take care of him for almost 2 months until his last breath. At this time, i can't remember how bad moments we have before instead i always remember our talking moments in the hospital. His Every words, every move, every moments. I cant forget those things.
