Born this Way was her most successful album of her entire career Critically and commercially. I literally read everything that was written about the album in real time when it was raping the charts for 2 years straight. She literally had the universe in the palm of her hand with this album. The critics worshipped it and it completely oversaturated the charts. She had some 11 consecutive #1s in like a 2-3 year span. She's in the Guinness book of world records for that. No one could touch her at this time. They compared her to MJ and Madonna a lot because she was on that level of influence. This record was everywhere. There's so much of it as far as an album goes its pretty long. But that doesn't take anything away from the quality of all the music. On the contrary almost every song was an instant classic. The production 🙌 for those reasons this album had LEGS on the charts. It charted for some 2 years roughly. We all thought she was some Bionic alien woman from the future. Her imagery and fashion and her music, oh my God chefs kiss!! She made pop music like a man but from a womens point of view. It was hard hitting, lavish, heavy, infectious, and it never got tired or old. It was so fresh. It created such a rich fantasy world for all to escape into. Everyone had their eyes on her to see what was coming next. We looked to her for the answers as to what should happen next. She created such a movement and fought for change. She was dancing and singing and marching and picketing, effectively dropping a grenade and for the first time blasting a dignified place at the table for the lost and abandoned people of the world. It was so exciting we all thought her reign would last eternal. She was like unto a God. Everything changed so rapidly and dramatically beneath her septer. All of a sudden people like me we're cool.

I love new Gaga more, she is much more badass now! The Fame Gaga other little monsters adored so much was actually the most generic. I loved BTW era, but wasn't a true fan untill era Chromatica, so I agree, as the time flew, she became better, stronger and made a lot of progress in her work AND life overall.

I love every Gaga album for different reasons. While I miss The Fame Gaga, I love ARTPOP Gaga. I like that she changes her music and her style. I miss her older songs born this way is my favorite album from her. The fame and the fame monster were great albums too. Artpop was ok but not as good as the others. Joanne is completely different from her previous material and I just can't get into it. I don't think Joanne is bad I just don't care for the style of it.

This song reminds me of my younger days, bad childhood (had step fathers that ,what's word very emotional, but my mother was a Saint. That’s beautiful… she is embodying the character of a real person whose parents got divorced and one of them blamed it on the children… even if you weren’t a good kid in the eyes of your parents you deserve happiness. You were never meant to fulfill any expectations. You create your own rules. Your heart is pure, you don’t need to be afraid of being independent. Love the message. I remember being that exact kid 11 years ago and this whole album was like a blessing. I didn’t fully understand the lyrics at 13 years old but at 25 now I can fully understand

Fun fact: The lyrics in the chorus is “I’m a bad kid and I will survive” but she PURPOSELY made it sound like “I’m a fa-got”. And the deeper meaning is that the song is about her fans who support her because most of them are homosexual and Gaga gives them support. These are the bad kids that gaga talks about and the reason why they are called bad kids are from the perspectives from their parents, friends, etc who don’t support them
