This is the finest song Brian and The Stones ever wrote, in my opinion. Rhapsodic, melodic, lyrical - in short, everything you associate with medieval music and the 1960s, and one of the most 6beautifulsongs ever written. This song is so unique in the inventory of pop music. It has a Renaissance flavor but stays true to modern pop music with stronger accents on beats 2 and 4.
