Lady Pank is quite a curiosity on the Polish musical market. They got popular before they were actually... formed! The group, which was originally planning to call itself "Żużel", received a lot of media coverage as a result of a skilfully conducted promotional campaign combined with group's questionnable talent.
Mały Rastaman
Lady Pank Lyrics

Co wiosną siał
Gdy Księżyc odkrył oczy z powiek
Szybko kwiaty rwał
Dumnie rozpalał je na wietrze,
Gdy chciał się śmiać
Znów życie stało się bajeczne
...Stafu brak - to zły znak
Życia bardzo, bardzo, bardzo gorzki smak
Chwile radości zawsze w głowie ma
Mały rastaman
Śmieje się częściej niż byś tego chciał
Mały rastaman
Ktoś w nocy palił jego zboże,
On obok stał
Do płuc zawitał świeży powiew
Śmiech przegonił strach
...Stafu brak - to zły znak
Znowu, znowu trzeba siać
Chwile radości zawsze w głowie ma...
The song "Mały Rastaman" by Lady Pank speaks of a man in the singer's garden who sows seeds in the spring and sings as he goes about his work. He quickly picks the flowers that bloom when the moon "opens its eyes" and proudly ignites them in the wind to create a three-colored world. But his happiness is short-lived, as he soon runs out of his stash of marijuana, which brings a bitter taste to his life. Despite this setback, the man continues to find joy in life and laughs often, much to the chagrin of those around him. When someone burns his cannabis in the night, the man stays positive and breathes in the fresh air, letting laughter drive away his fear. The song ends with a sense of hope as the man prepares to plant new seeds and continue his adventure.
At its core, the song is an ode to those who are able to maintain a positive attitude in the face of adversity. The lyrics describe the challenges and difficulties that the singer faces but also highlights his resilience and optimism. The reference to the rastafarian culture and the use of cannabis is a nod to the roots of reggae music, which often symbolized resistance and freedom.
