Crystal Eyes
Lake Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Had a dream about a girl in white
Dressed in sunshine, such a vivid sight
Smelled of flowers, she was soft and light
And her face was the face of a child

Then she danced her way long the street
Had a smile for everyone she’d meet
Like a cool breeze in the summer heat
You could see that she hadn’t a care

The sky shines like silver in her crystal eyes
Rain falls like diamonds in those crystal eyes
I’m lost in the haze, so entrapped by the gaze
From her crystal eyes
I knew it was wrong to oursue it son long
But I had to try

On the river rode a carousel
Colored horses leading the way
Golden dragons pulling chariots
Childrend laughter filling the air

When I found the chance to say hello
All my words they wouldn’t leave my throat
Nothing happened, not a single note
Then she smiled, shook her head and was gone

And the wind it sang a lazy song
That in real could never have been
She was humming to the melody
As the moon burst over the trees

The sky shines like silver in her crystal eyes
Rain falls like diamonds in those crystal eyes
I’m lost in the haze, so entrapped by the gaze
From her crystal eyes

I knew it was wrong to oursue it son long
But I had to try

What do you mean new lake? This band's most recent albums are from 2014 and 2012, though I still haven't checked them out. Anyways yeah this is a great song, their first 3 albums have a lot of classic songs.
