That you've been through, I can see
Are your unknown qualities
All the things you've never told
Honey, you don't have to own them
They don't have to be
Leave it to me
Leave it to the ghosts, they can worry 'bout that
Leave it to me
Leave it in the earth
Leave it to the long gone never look back
Stand by me and I stand by you
We leave the dirt in the earth to bloom
Tell the morning we'll be there soon
Before you go, let your heart go boom
Let your heart go boom
Let your heart go boom
Let your heart go boom, boom, boom
All the blessings we receive
Go together with the bleeding
It's how it's supposed to be
Leave it to me
Leave it to God
Leave it to the ghosts, they can worry 'bout that
Leave it to me
Leave it in the earth
Leave it to the long gone never look back
Stand by me and I stand by you
We leave the dirt in the earth to bloom
Tell the morning we'll be there soon
Before you go, let your heart go boom
Let your heart go boom
Stand by me and I stand by you
We leave the dirt in the earth to bloom
Tell the morning we'll be there soon
Before you go, let your heart go boom
Let your heart go boom
Boom, boom, boom
The song "Boom" by Laleh is a beautiful and thoughtful ballad that speaks to the hidden tragedies and unknown qualities that people carry within themselves. The lyrics suggest that these experiences and emotions do not have to be owned by the individual, nor do they have to be a source of shame or burden. The singer encourages the listener to leave these things to her, to God, or to the ghosts, suggesting that they can worry about such things instead. The emphasis is on letting go of the past and moving forward with a heart that is open and willing to embrace the future.
The lyrics also draw attention to the fact that blessings in life often come hand in hand with pain and suffering. The singer acknowledges this fact but also suggests that it is part of the natural order of things. By accepting both the good and the bad in life, one can more fully appreciate the beauty and complexity of existence.
Overall, the song "Boom" is an uplifting and hopeful message that encourages listeners to let go of their past traumas and embrace the future with an open heart. It is a reminder that, despite the pain and hardship that we may experience along the way, life is ultimately a beautiful and worthy journey.
