In large parts of Europe - both in and outside the 9 countries the band has been touring in – Lampshade has achieved fine airplay and good press. E.g. ’Because Trees Can Fly’ was Album of the Week in Belfast Telegraph and in the German music magazine Visions, while the single from the album has been played in BBC 6, UK and a lot in France.
With Let's Away they released their second full-length Album 2006 and started touring through Europe in February of that year. The Band disbanded in 2009.

24
A son and a daughter
It's just that you are not here anymore
Just another half a year to
25
Half a golden life together
You will be golden forever
You left us treasures
You left us friends
We are still your sons and daughters
If it's okay
Bread at my wedding
Though you were weak
You taught about life together
As if I was your daughter
And he your son
24
Years is a lifetime together
But way too short
What you gave will last forever
You left us treasures
You left us friends
We are still your sons and daughters
If it's okay
The Silver is for you
24
Feels like so much more
So much less
The lyrics of Lampshade's song Silver are a tribute to a person who has passed away, possibly a parent or a close relative. The singer in the song addresses this person directly, referring to them as a parent of a son and a daughter. The first verse notes how the person is no longer physically present, with just a half a year left until the deceased person's would-be 25th birthday. This is followed by a bittersweet acknowledgment of the time they spent together, describing it as a "golden life" that will remain golden forever. The second verse is more introspective, with the singer reflecting on memories of the deceased person, particularly the importance of their guidance and presence in their life. The song ends with the sentiment that even in death, the person has left behind valuable treasures and enduring friendships.
What's particularly striking about this song is its simplicity, both in terms of the music and the lyrics. The verses are relatively short, with just a handful of lines each, but they pack a lot of emotion into a small space. The repeated refrain of "You left us treasures, you left us friends" is particularly poignant, as it reminds us that even in death, the impact we have on others lives on.
Interestingly, the title of the song, "Silver," seems to be a reference to the notion of "silver linings" - the idea that even in the darkest of times, there can be a glimmer of hope or something positive to cling to. This fits with the overall tone of the song, which is sad but ultimately optimistic.
Overall, "Silver" is a touching tribute to someone who has passed away, and a reminder of the enduring impact that our loved ones can have on our lives.
