Beautiful Player
Lana Del Rey Lyrics

Lana Del Rey, Lana Del Rey,
Sing it to me, sing it to me
You're so easy to love
You make me cuckoo like a turtle dove
So hot that I can't get enough, enough of you
Hit me and it felt like a kiss
When you do me like this
So sad when I hear the girls talk
When I walk by, they start to cry
(Sing it to me babe)
'Cause you're a beautiful player
You're a beautiful player baby
Ooh ooh oh oh, oh oh baby
Ooh ooh oh oh, ah, ah, ah
Sunset on a Saturday night,
Having a talk, talk bout the time of our lives.
He's selling songs on the boulevard of broken dreams
And faded Queens
Live young like we oughta die fast
'Cause he's been breaking the law, and hes not going back
I love him finally all through the night
And yes its true, I live for you
(Sing it to me doll)
Cuz your a beautiful player (Sing it to me)
You're a beautiful player baby
Ooh ooh oho ohh oh oh baby (Aw ya love that?)
Ohh ohh oh ah ah ahh
L is for the love you that give and took away
O is for the only one I wanted to stay
V is for my valiant, Valium baby
E is for the ex that we took with champagne
Hit me and it felt like kiss
Baby if it don't hurt then I'll have to insist
We have just one life to live
But true loves more than he can give
(Sing it to me babe)
'Cause he's a beautiful player
He's my beautiful player baby
Ooh ooh oh oh, oh oh baby (Aw you love that?)
Ooh ooh oh oh, ah, ah
Sing it to me baby
'Cause he's my beautiful player (Sing it to me)
He's my beautiful player baby
Ooh ooh oh oh, oh oh baby (Aw you love that?)
Ooh ooh oh oh, yeah
The song "Beautiful Player" by Lana Del Rey is about a relationship with a charismatic, attractive man who is known for breaking hearts. The woman in the song is consumed by her love for this man, describing him as easy to love and so hot that she can't get enough of him. However, she also acknowledges the pain he causes through his reckless behavior, and expresses sadness at how other girls react to his presence. Despite this, she remains hopelessly devoted to him, singing that "true love's more than he can give".
The lyrics are filled with contradictions as the woman both enjoys and suffers from loving this "beautiful player". The chorus reflects this duality, as Lana Del Rey sings "You're a beautiful player, you're a beautiful player baby", with an air of both admiration and frustration. The bridge of the song contains a clever play on words, with each letter in the word love standing for a different concept related to the couple's relationship.
Overall, "Beautiful Player" is a bittersweet love song that explores the complexities of loving someone who is both irresistible and dangerous.
