Lana Del Rey Lyrics

Go-Go dancer so rare
Move down
Up slow
Prostitute stare
I do what I like
I just don’t care
I am my only God
I am my only God
Now
Black eyes, short dress
Let’s break it down
You shoot, and I pose
Polaroid frown
I do what I like
I won’t make a sound
I am my only God
I am my only God
I am my only God
Now
Icon, young star
Heroin fiend
Just sit, and I’ll sing
I’ll be your queen
You know how I like
That celebrity type
Hold me, hm
I am my only God
I am my only God
I am my only God
Now
The song "Disco" by Lana Del Rey begins with the description of a go-go dancer, who is rare and captivating. The dancer moves down and up slowly while staring like a prostitute. The singer goes on to say that she does what she likes and does not care what people think of her. She proclaims that she is her only God. The chorus is repeated several times, emphasizing the idea that she only believes in herself.
The second verse describes the singer wearing a short dress and having black eyes. She poses for a picture while holding a polaroid camera with a frown. She again repeats the idea that she does what she likes and won't make a sound. The chorus is repeated again.
In the final verse, the singer becomes an icon and a young star, but also a heroin fiend. She sits and sings while being held by someone who likes the celebrity type. The chorus is repeated for the final time.
Overall, the lyrics of "Disco" seem to describe a confident and rebellious person who does not conform to society's expectations. The singer proclaims herself as her only God and does what she likes without caring what people think. The song may symbolize the struggle to maintain authenticity and individuality in the face of fame and societal pressure.
