Million Dollar Man
Lana Del Rey Lyrics
You said I was the most exotic flower
Holding me tight in our final hour
I don't know how you convince them and get them, but
I don't know what you do, it's unbelievable
And I don't know how you get over, get over
Someone as dangerous, tainted and flawed as you
One for the money, and two for the show
I love you honey, I'm ready, I'm ready to go
You're screwed up and brilliant
And look like a million dollar man
So why is my heart broke?
You got the world but baby at what price
Something so strange, hard to define
It isn't that hard boy to like you or love you
I'd follow you down down down You're unbelievable
If you're going crazy just grab me and take me
I'd follow you down down down, anywhere anywhere
One for the money, two for the show
I love you honey, I'm ready, I'm ready to go
How did you get that way, I don't know
You're screwed up and brilliant
And look like a million dollar man
So why is my heart broke?
One for the money, two for the show
I love you honey, I'm ready, I'm ready to go
How did you get that way, I don't know
You're screwed up and brilliant
And look like a million dollar man
So why is my heart broke
I don't know
You're screwed up and brilliant
And look like a million dollar man
So why is my heart broke?

@Miss_Anonymous x in the end, we're all damaged peoples... To different extents, but many of us make life living hell for one another, whilst pursuing our own happiness/avoiding frustration. Personally, politically, globally...
Women suck you dry as they're pre-occupied with their emotions and image, being/feeling better than others, men give everything for image and ignore their emotions trying to be better than others… Wondering why so many of us feel devoid of love. In general, that is. I'm not like that - I'm still alone at 34: I can understand why people prefer make-belief, or why we pin things on gender/race/religion.
It's just that I can't find the one equally damaged as me either, willing to accept me without a polished make belief image, but in all its majestic glory nonetheless ;).
I did find the 'energy craving women', by the way - sadly. Wasted 6 years of my life on one not so true love... Now I've just kind of given up. Disillusioned, I might add(that relation was 12 years ago). over 6 billion people, yet somehow still lonely. I suppose it's why I like this music: The emptiness that will never be filled finds comfort in recognisable art. Distraction.
At any rate, my heart feels broke too. When I find the time to dwell on it, that is - tends to be rare these days.
Nice of you to realise and mention that the MaskedAvenger must have (hurt) feelings. I'm not a religious man, but love and understanding seem to work better than hatred and contempt. So kudos, maybe this world has a chance...

Lyrics:
[Verse 1]
You said I was the most exotic flower
Holding me tight in our final hour
I don't know how you convince them and get them, but
I don't know what you do, it's unbelievable
And I don't know how you get over, get over
Someone as dangerous, tainted, and flawed as you
[Chorus]
One for the money, two for the show
I love you, honey; I'm ready, I'm ready to go
How did you get that way? I don't know
You're screwed up and brilliant
And look like a million-dollar man
So why is my heart broke?
[Verse 2]
You got the world, but baby, at what price?
It's something so strange, hard to define
It isn't that hard, boy, to like you or love you
I'd follow you down, down, down, you're unbelievable
If you're going crazy, just grab me and take me
I'd follow you down, down, down; anywhere, anywhere
[Chorus]
One for the money, two for the show
I love you, honey; I'm ready, I'm ready to go
How did you get that way? I don't know
You're screwed up and brilliant
And look like a million-dollar man
So why is my heart broke?
[Instrumental Bridge]
[Chorus]
One for the money, two for the show
I love you, honey; I'm ready, I'm ready to go
How did you get that way? I don't know
You're screwed up and brilliant
And look like a million-dollar man
So why is my heart broke?
[Outro]
I don't know
You're screwed up, you're brilliant
And look like a million-dollar man
So why is my heart broke?

This song was rejected for Sam Smith's writing on the wall, FYI, folks. This one I thought was superior. Buuuut, I'm not Barbara or Michael calling the shots. Oh, well.
