Motel 6
Lana Del Rey Lyrics

Singing in the lobby,
Do the sunset twist.
I can do it, you can do it,
Swing them hips.
Everybody, let's get dangerous!
Get the invite quicker,
Pack up the pick up,
And pick up the liquor,
Gone is your charm,
Well come on gon' get her.
Baby, it's a fair game.
Ladies if you really,
Wanna reign them suckers,
Line up them lips and,
Plump up them pluckers,
Baby, that's the only,
Way to get them other fuckers,
Tell me what you want, tell.
It's a party, it's a party,
It's a party, it's a party,
It's a party, c-c-come on.
It's a party, it's a party,
It's a party, it's a party,
It's a party, c-c-come on.
Baby, if you really,
Wanna know my secret,
Come a little closer,
Kitty, promise you'll keep it.
Knew a little nearer there,
Whisper you need it,
Under the fairy lights.
Men'll like a woman,
Who just don't need 'em.
Sweeter than cherry pie,
But we'll treat 'em,
Meaner than dirt,
They deserve to be hurt,
Do they realise what,
You're worth, worth, worth?
It's a party, it's a party,
It's a party, it's a party,
It's a party, c-c-come on.
It's a party, it's a party,
It's a party, it's a party,
It's a party, c-c-come on.
The lyrics of Motel 6 by Lana Del Rey describe a wild party scene where everyone is dancing and having a good time. The mention of "slow gin fizz" and "pick up the liquor" suggests that the partygoers are drinking and possibly getting intoxicated. The line "Men'll like a woman who just don't need 'em" seems to indicate that the women at the party are confident and independent, not needing to rely on men for validation or attention. The idea of "plumping up them pluckers" and "lining up them lips" further reinforces the idea of women taking control of their own image and sexuality.
The line "under the fairy lights" creates a dreamy and almost magical atmosphere, perhaps hinting at a sense of escapism for those at the party. The call to "come on" and join the party is repeated multiple times throughout the song, urging the listener to let loose and have fun. Overall, the lyrics convey a sense of carefree abandon, where societal norms and expectations are left behind in favor of enjoying the moment.
