To me
You are so beautiful
To me
Can't you see
You're everything I hoped for
You're everything I need
You are so beautiful
Such joy and happiness
You bring
Such joy and happiness
You bring
Like a dream
A guided light
That shines in the night
Haven't gived to me
You are so beautiful
To me
In Landau's song "You Are a Commodity," the lyrics express a deep admiration and love for someone. The repetition of "You are so beautiful to me" emphasizes the singer's perception of the person's beauty. This beauty is not limited to physical appearance but encompasses their entire being. The singer sees this person as everything they have hoped for and everything they need. The phrase "Can't you see" suggests that the singer wants the person to recognize their own worth and the impact they have on others.
As the lyrics continue, the song delves into the joy and happiness that the person brings. The comparison to a dream and a guiding light indicates that this person has brought a sense of fulfillment and direction into the singer's life. They shine like a beacon in the darkness, providing hope and inspiration. The final line, "Haven't gived to me," may be interpreted as the singer expressing gratitude for the person's presence and the positive influence they have had.
Overall, "You Are a Commodity" is a heartfelt declaration of love and admiration for someone who brings immense beauty, joy, and happiness into the singer's life. It celebrates not just physical beauty but also the deeper qualities that make the person so special.
