His first major success was his remix of DJ Sakin's 'Protect Your Mind', swiftly followed by his famous Lost Witness – ‘Happiness Happening’ remix which also entered the UK Top 20. He eventually reached 20 UK top 40s, more than any other Trance artist to date; alongside featuring on a film soundtrack, and remixing other mainstream artists such as The Pet Shop Boys and Faithless.

Lange is also a prolific international DJ, making appearances for club brands such as Godskitchen, Gatecrasher and Ministry Of Sound as well as performing for prestigious festivals such as such as Global Gathering, Creamfields, Sziget, Sunrise and Balaton. He achieved a sustained appearance in the influential Top 100 DJ Poll for 8 years as well as rising to no. 6 in the well supported Tranceaddict Top 250 Poll.

His label, Lange Recordings, was set up to showcase his own productions alongside those of other established and up and coming artists within the trance scene. The label continues to grow and has gained consistent support from the DJ elite over the years.

Vocal trance is a small part of trance music. Non-vocal trance dwarfs vocal trance in volume (number of songs produced and played). Vocal trance has only become more popular over the years, whereas in earlier years, a decade ago and before that even, you'd only hear samples in songs.

Ok get your point, trance is different to what it is now but that is only because of all the sub genres that end mixing in and out of the term trance so like some are more house like or more techno this means more variety. Actually kind of agree that some vocal tracks are annoying example Andy Moor-Faces. But some vocal track really work for me and one of them is this one and other is man on the run by cerf.

That's not necessarily the case. Mose Vocal Trance songs have simpler beats, and rhythms therefore they would be boring without vocals. But good Progressive Trance/House , Uplifting Trance does not need any vocals. You just need to have experience with some of the non-mainstream songs and listen to them a few times are they are sick. Listen to Marcus Schossow - Kiev/Deconhearstruction 5 times each and you will thank me later.

Nearly everything on Limbo in the 90's for example Mukkaa Havanna - I love the way people pigeon hole progressive - all it means is that every bar something in the track changes - (appollo 440 mix of Burruchacca by Mukkaa on 23rd precinct is one of the best examples, at the peak it has about 20 layers going..)

sorry, don't agree with that m8. Music like this unless really catchy becomes a bit dull and similar so vocals are usually a gd thing adding to the song in a way that make you want to listen to it again & again :D

or what are you talking about? with vocals or not if the music is fantastic, as must be in trance, that's it. songs like Insigma's ''Open Your Eyes'' for example is without vocals. can say something bad ,anyone who loves trance, about this song? it's the quintessence of this sound...of course i will not talk about JaiPrana his opinion about trance is extremely wrong...
