The sextette began working on their debut album "Gusła". The compositions were being created gradually and carefully due to the fact that the band was willing to do a concept album completely devoted to Polish Medieval culture. They went through several preproductions, they thought deeply about their extraordinary sound, lyrics and additional effects that could illustrate the presented world. Lao Che created crossover type of music, since all the members of the band had previous experience in death and doom metal and they wanted to mix up other genres as well. A lot of different styles were incorporated in their music: ambient, rock, metal, folk, reggae and the classical one too. It took them 2 years to complete the project. When everything was recorded, Sp Records released "Gusła" album in January 2002.
In May 2002 Warz left the band and he was repleaced by Krojc. Then Lao Che started playing live on stage in different places of Poland. In January 2003 another musician - Trocki - joined them to create a septet. In this line-up Lao Che began working on their second concept album: "Powstanie Warszawskie" ("The Warsaw Uprising"). The approach to composing the music was based on previous experience with Gusła and it took the band 2 years to complete another album. It was recorded in Obuh Studio (Analogue Rogalow) with the use of old equipment from the sixties and the seventies. A few microphones were even from the thirties. "Powstanie Warszawskie" was released by ARS Mundi Records in March 2005. They have released their first live DVD titled just like their sophomore record in May 2006.
Their third album "Gospel" was released on 22 February 2008 and the first single from this record is "Drogi Panie".

Coś wyło tam wściekło
Lecz mnie nie urzekło
Cóż było mówić diabeł ani pisnął
Wrócił do siebie i czapkę nacisnął
Sprawa oczywista
Zresztą gdzie tam ja i duchowi atleci
A w delegacji zwykle tęsknię do dzieci
Poza tym brak w niebie sieci
Nie mają tam sieci a wielcy profeci
W piekle jakoś tak se
Do nieba dziękuję nie trzeba
Co
My źle pośrodku mamy
Tu jest jak u mamy
Jak u mamy tu mamy
Raz i dwa dwa i raz
I raz i dwa dwa i raz
I raz i dwa dwa i raz
Tu po środku jest w sam raz
Na dole wśród smoły
Niezdaluchy i pierdoły
Na górze Jezusy
I ich lizusy
Tu jesteśmy wolni
Tu nie mamy zwierzchnika
Za to mamy kobiety
A kobiety są pycha
Raz i dwa dwa i raz
I raz i dwa dwa i raz
I raz i dwa dwa i raz
Tu po środku jest w sam raz
Tu jest jak u mamy
Jak u mamy tu mamy
W piekle jakoś tak se
Do nieba dziękuję nie trzeba
Co
My źle pośrodku mamy
Tu jest jak u mamy
Jak u mamy
Tu mamy
Kiedy dramat w trakcie
Nie myśl wiele o drugim akcie
Diabeł jest głupi
A chcesz aniołka to ci tata kupi
The song "Tu" by Lao Che is a commentary on life, death, and the afterlife. The lyrics speak of the singer witnessing hell through a crack in the floorboards, listening to the cries of the tormented souls there, but not being impressed or swayed by what they hear. They shrug it off as part of the natural order of things, implying that they are not afraid of what lies ahead for them after they die.
The song continues with a discussion of Satan and his sadistic tendencies, with the singer questioning why he is so unpleasant. They recount a story about being hooked by a baited hook and thrown down to hell by the heavenly powers, and being told that they must be good while they are there, but not understanding what that means. They also express longing for their children back home, implying that their time in hell is an absence from normal life rather than a horror show.
The chorus repeats the phrase "Tu jest jak u mamy" which roughly translates to "It's just like being at Mom's house," implying that the singer is comfortable and at home in hell. The rest of the song continues with this theme, contrasting the unpleasantness of hell with the supposed righteous bliss of heaven, and ultimately suggesting that neither is quite what it seems.

Mambo Italiano. Nie mogę się pozbyć tego skojarzenia. Cudny utwór swoją drogą.
@ulcia5
mam dokładnie to samo wrażenie!
dźwięk w dźwięk ta sama linia melodyczna.
ale cóż powstało już tyle melodii i utworów, że ciężko dzisiaj, aby wymyślić coś nowego co nie będzie podobne do niczego.
