Su Historia… Larry Hernández, nació en la ciudad de Los Angeles, California, a los 4 años de edad sus padres lo llevaron para Culiacán, Sinaloa donde vivió durante gran parte de su adolescencia. Su influencia musical viene de familia, su abuelo es músico y varios primos y familiares son artistas conocidos.

Sus inicios como músico fueron en la escuela en Culiacán, con un grupo con el que representó al estado de Sinaloa. Larry empezó a componer canciones desde “morro” como él dice. Recuerda: “A los ocho años, yo le enseñaba mis corridos a mis primos y tíos que son músicos y ellos me daban tips, cámbiale aquí quítale eso y de ahí fui aprendiendo”. Además de componer canciones y corridos, el talentoso cantautor también toca el acordeón y la batería.
El primer grupo profesional con el que trabajó, fue Los Amables del Norte y fue en esa agrupación que aprendió a pararse en los escenarios. “No es fácil nada mas pararte en un escenario, agarrar el micrófono y cantar frente a tres mil personas’.
El ídolo e influencia más grande de Larry Hernández es el fallecido Chalino Sánchez. Además, siente mucha admiración por varios cantantes y su influencia musical es muy amplia.
Aunque Larry ha sido criticado por varios artistas y músicos por cantar sus corridos y le han recomendado tener más cuidado; ‘El Amigo de Todos’, expresa lo siguiente: “Mis corridos están cargados de alto contenido que nadie se atreve a cantarlos, yo me atrevo por que lo hago para entretener a la gente. Para que se metan en un personaje y aparte la gente me los pide”. Agrega: “Mis corridos no son para tirarle bronca a nadie, son corridos para entretener a la gente, para que tomen y se pasen un buen rato, la verdad la economía y el mundo entero esta pasando momentos muy difíciles; lo único que le puedo brindar a mi gente es mi talento y un buen rato para que se olviden de todo y que la pasen bien.
Definitivamente Larry Hernandez, es un artista con mucho talento, con ganas de trabajar y entretener a sus seguidores. Con su nueva producción “16 Narco Corridos” aunada a la euforia que causa es cada una de sus presentaciones, seguramente habrá Larry para rato.
